Got a call from Scott this evening near Pinedale, WY. Lakes and beer were involved, but my cell phone battery was dying so I didn't get the whole story. :deal

I made it back yesterday after some 580+ miles of road riding from the Fort Collins area all the way to Socorro. My butt is sore. :ymca

Looks like you guys are making good time today, at 5:15 P.M. Mountain Time your SPOT shows you just got off of NF261 (Ashton-Flagg Ranch Road/Grassy Lake Road) and are about to head into Ashton, Idaho, hope all is going well, it's gotta be an EPIC ride at this point, my single best day of riding ever was done on June 1st 2000 in the same area.

Ride safe and:clap keep on rollin',

Here's a video made by some campers this past June while on their way north from Victor, ID to the Warm River Campground, located in Warm River, ID in the Targhee National Forest, where Jack and the guys spent last night. As of 11:02 A.M. Mountain time on Tuesday July 10th, the guys were headin' north to Island Park, ID and were only about 15 miles south of the Montana state line and 25 miles west of Yellowstone National Park:

What happened? Up to this point Jack and Kevin's SPOT's have been together, but as of 4:00 P.M. Eastern Time on Wednesday July 11th, Jack's SPOT showed he was in Virginia City, MT, while Kevin's SPOT showed him north of Jerry Creek Road, southwest of Butte, MT, not even on a marked road of any type and some 72 miles northwest of Jack?

You can find an interesting video about the town of Virginia City, MT where Jack is at now, at www.virginiacity.com, then click on photos and then check out the video at the bottom of the page; Virginia City... Where History Lives.

Just thought I'd bust into Jax definitely-not-mediocre photo thread and report a sighting of Jack in Virginia City, MT. My family, including mother-in-law, father-in-law, and another family (10 of us altogether), ended up eating lunch with Jack and the guys on the porch of a restaurant in Virginia City, Montana during a rainstorm. Had a great time hearing about their trip and meeting them. They seemed like a great group of guys and didn't mind getting hammered with questions from the 10 of us.
I may owe them a huge debt as my wife and mother-in-law seemed enthralled with the idea of adventuring on a motorcycle. May have paved the way for a big adventure for yours truly. Coincidentally (or was it fate?), my old BMW, 1971 R75/5, is due back from the shop next week after a 12 year time out. Even if a big adventure is still a ways out, at a minimum, I was inspired enough to register to be an ADV inmate, and to explore Jax thread.
    Safe travels Jack!
