Bastrop state park is about 20 miles east of the track, but I don't have any details about it.

I never did see anything about motorcycle passes when I bought my ticket. Did you get your tickets online or did you phone?

I just cancelled 2 sites at Bastrop state park that should show available now or later today. You can have up to 8 people per site.
We had some folks in our group that did not want to camp so I booked some rooms in Lockhart for cheap but more expensive than camping.

    Thanks for the heads up.
I just took it in the ass for partking. $73 bucks for all days.
Bike parking is $43. Maybe several inmates could pile on a scooter like they do in Mexico!

Has anyone made hotel reservations lately? Are you finding the prices to be escalated above "normal" the way they were done for the F1 race? I made my reservations the same day the race was announced. I may not be able to attend due to a change in family income which will hopefully be resolved by then. Just wondering if prices when up.

Lockhart and San Marcos hotels were still reasonably priced. Austin chains seemed to have higher than normal rates. The ride from Lockhart looked nicer than slab from San Marcos but San Marco has more hotels.

I bought my tickets back in Dec, and have noticed that the hotel rates went up since then. Not alot but enough to make me wish I had booked earlier.

This place is putting on track days there in June but it's damn expensive and, sold out. Holy shit that would be awesome to ride that track.

I'll let my room go for the rate I booked them at last year, not a penny more.

Was it in this thread someone mentioned that tickets would be mailed a month before the race. Nervousness should start kicking in then.

Myself and several friends are camping right across from parking area P. From the site, it's a half mile walk to the main gate. Never mind the $50 price in the pay pal button on the web site below, mention the name "R.B." in the subject line and camp for $25 per night via paypal. We negotiated a group rate for our ten people and wanted to leave room for our undecided friends to join us, so the owner agreed on the $25 per night deal. chris@christaylorracing.com

We're riding from Albuquerque and will be there on Friday and Saturday.

Here is the website and a clip from it:

Note: All of the temporay grand stands that were there for the F1 race have been removed. General admission will have a much better view with these gone.

I'd take the GsGrins ticket if I didn't already have GA tickets with my buddy and his sons. Turn 15 is a great spot, from what I've read. Someone without a ticket would be well-advised to take advantage of this offer.
