I can't ride, I really can't use my left hand/arm. What else am I going to do???

Intel from a Ridgecrest native regarding food if you are going to stop on the way through town

If they decide to stop for a meal I'd recommend the Grape Leaf (on Drummond between China Lake & Norma) for breakfast, Casey's BBQ for Lunch/Dinner (China Lake Blvd)

    My work here is done.

Joel, you are welcome for keeping this on top of the heep!

That's what you think, you will be back, you know it, I know it and so does everyone else on this thread.

You have nothing better to do and this is like crack for you so just admit it and move on...

    On another topic:

We need a volunteer to retrieve the repeater from Hunter Mountain on Sunday to bring it back to camp. I will bring it back to LA.

    Volunteers?

Need a jeep to go get it.

If some one does have the time and the inclination to help with gas on Friday and Saturday...They could also stage out at the Crater and never have to leave pavement...We could fuel up there for the run home....

    Hey Joel,

I'm staying with Seth (lifeofreilly) but just realized I'm not listed. So:

    Fergus (fhammond) – RV3 (#2) – D3 - Multistrada 1200 - staying with Seth

Also, can you update my donation listing? It's "Adobe Lightroom" now but should be "Adobe Lightroom 4 for Macintosh". Not a big deal but don't want to make those Windows users sad...

    thanks!
    Fergus

Sorry for the late update Fergus. I am running behind on updates lately. You are in #146 on the list.

The same here Keith. It's updated. No food for you. :lol3

Handlebars and grips, skid plate and mirrors installed, seat is at the upholsterer getting cut down. New tires on Thursday.
I bought new handguards last month then bought fat bars to replace the bent ones so of course the hand guards don't fit. One more trip to the store.

Trying to keep up with this thread, but you guys are just too busy with planning and collecting even more loot. Seriously, that's gonna be a crazy raffle:rofl. Wish I could help out, but I'm riding in & I most definitely qualify as a noob! Happy to volunteer with cleanup though.

I plan on leaving this Friday & will most likely be in DV Mon-Thur. So who's gonna be around & wants to get in some pre-rally riding? I think at least one inmate will be there early (red05), anyone else?

Things are looking grim for me,
My Tiger is in the shop, my Husky has a sheared swingarm adjuster that my machinist is concerned about how he is going tackle drilling it out because of the depth of cavity (precisely why I didn't tackle it ).

I'm still coming! I may be bike-less (I friggin' hope not!) but able to tag along on the road support crews if needed.

I should be there Monday afternoon unless I decide to take the scenic route. Most likely doing an overnight ride someplace in DV before Thursday. I'll be at site #28 with the Bug sister. Stop by and say hi.

I don't know that I will physically be able to make it to the springs. Drive 30 miles hurts the shoulder and that is the 101. I don't want to volunteer and then not be able to make it out there and leave people high and dry.

I am planning on heading out mon or Tuesday, will camp I think until Wednesday when my buddy arrives. Is there a concern about getting a camp site for Monday to Wednesday ? I would also like to get in a couple recon rides, having never been there, with some others. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

I'll be there that weekend with a couple other guys on touring bikes and will also have my 2m radio, maybe APRS. Staying in Beatty, but I'll try to monitor those two simplex frequencies any chance I get while in the park and around PSR.

My call sign? N7ADV, of course.

    Have a safe trip everyone...

    Receiver frequency:

    146.900 - offset
    PL tone 123.0

This is a store-and-forward repeater, normally operates as simplex but I'm going duplex so you don't have to hear transmissions twice if you're close. Incoming transmissions are stored and then re-transmitted on full power when complete, as such a one second message takes a total of two seconds to get across the group.

I'll be in camp Wednesday if you want to program radios, if you don't know how to program your radio I suggest taking a cheat sheet with you so we can get you all hooked up.

If you happen to have a Yeasu VX-7R, FT-1900, or FT-8800 I can program the radio with my computer.
