I hope I'm not speaking out of turn, but I think we have someone to run the event. (Not me. :deal) Someone who has the time and who has the knowledge.

Hopefully, Scorpion will still do the art work . . . :bow

the highlight of any Songdog event was the killer triptip BBQ the Rev' put on. AFAIK, they can't do that anymore. The site itself was pretty awesome, but just how much riding is around there? I remember lots of long flat straight line roads. Ok, Carizzo Plains isn't that much north of there, but again, how much riding really is there ?

What we need to do, foodwise, is get Jimmy (1224r) to cater the event. :evil :evil :dg :tb

Or Ms. Bianaca . . . the flat iron steak with Venezuelan Chimchuri sauce she made a couple of years ago for Friday night was :eek1 :eek1 :eek1 amazing!! (The Cabo Wabo margaritas didn't hurt either. Until the next morning . . .)

Between Ms Bianca and I, I am sure some sort of Tasty Vittles could be dreamed up if the location was elsewhere... Here's some ideas we came up with....

    Beer can chicken
    Beer can Steak
    Beer can potatoes
    Beer can salad
    Beer can beer...

We both thought it was diverse enough to satisfy all tastes..

If the punk wants more adventure he's certainly entitled to attend another event somewhere else and volunteer to run that. Kernville for me!

I also like that I can also choose to use the motel next door if I need to so someone who might not walk well can attend.

The one time I went to a rally at Songdog, we rode a ton of fun dirt over to and back from Pozo Saloon and had a total blast, not to mention the dirt riding options further up the dirt access road beyond the bunkhouse.

However, it has nowhere near the amenities of Kernville.
Not even on the same planet. :lol3

This is also a good point.
Any alternatives should be next to a motel so non-campers can attend, too.

Edit: I will go to MRA again next year for sure. Like Scott I'm not there just for the riding, I like the crowd (<s>nearly all of them</s> <s>mostly </s> some of them :D ), the campground, and the whole atmosphere of the thing.

I've never been to Warped. I didn't even know it existed until last year and the date didn't work out for me.

I'm trying to go to the next one on my pussy, skinny dirt bike, so I hope it stays in Kernville where there are at least some mildly challenging trails. I even am starting to know some of you FF's.

    Party on Garth!!

BTW I've got a 7 gallon frozen drink machine that travels with me.:freaky
