    Doc,

Tell us details about the side stand, please - I need one for my '76 850-T3, and the stock design leaves me cold.

    Cheers

The quality of it sucks on youtube:

If I had a place to make the file available online it'd be much better. Maybe we should work on having that available to members :)

Now you're stretching the memory, haven't got anything written down about it but I think I got the idea from one of the Guzzi forums. I bought the stand and mount from a wreckers and from what I can remember it's from a Z750 Kawasaki, can't help you with year and model sorry. The only ID on the stand is K35 cast on the side so that should help. I ground away a lot of the mounting part down to what I needed and welded some bent rod onto the stand itself to use as a lever putting it down. Uses the rear gearbox mount bolt and another a couple of inches behind that. Much better than the original front mounted, spring loaded, pain in the arse stand. Apparently there are other Guzzi stands that mount in the same place and are a lot better than original but this was cheap and readily available from a wreckers.

    NOT !

Original colours make it like a meager old tom's donky, like this its more like the basic, which is much more lively.

    What's it look like? :p
    It's a two wheel drive motorcycle :)
    More like a tractor really...
Not sure what it is really, it has a serial plate of some sort, and whoever built it was very good at what they're doing. Three jackshafts, a torque converter, four loops of chain and six sprockets all perfectly aligned, bearing'd, and driven through a solid rear swing arm-teeter totter halftrack like rear wheel drive. Top speed, 6 miles an hour. That said, i'm fairly confident it'd climb a verticle wall if it got traction, and thats just with a 5hp briggs. It has an 8horse techumseh sitting in it in that pic.

Unfortunately it was sold off in a recent yard clearing liquidation sale. Along with the funky blue minibike chassis, an original 1952 tote gote mini-gote (not to be confused with a regular tote gote, the geared down stump puller, the mini gote was built for speed)
I almost wish i kept it... Upon retrospect, it's the only machine that even remotely looks like it i've ever seen. And that includes the internet. I dig unique stuff if you couldnt tell already :)
