Here is another one, it's a 9 tooth starter motor, so it won't fit any BMWs before September 75 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-START...Accessories&hash=item19cf3ed47f#ht_2209wt_962 Charles
But if it's brand new ... not a bad price. But the shipping is wonky ... but the cost more than likely is to Europe.
I found it via UK eBay, so shipping cost will be to uk. This is a generic version of the valeo, I have one like it fitted to my 1070 bike, has worked well for the last 3 years or so.
No problems with them - I bought one from Caltric on Ebay 3 years ago when they were $99- and it has performed perfectly for 75,000 km. EME has them for a similar price, with a 12 month warranty you can trust, but you probably wont need it.
Gotta love the carb installations on this one........ http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-...2719449?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item43b2cf00d9 hmmmm....maybe they got something there....easier to get to the cables. but the left fuel line looks a little kinked....
40mm Bings, very clean, mind you but still. Starting bid of $ 200, Buy it now ...$ 800 http://tinyurl.com/9hpmzug
no wonder I cant get my bike to run good, got the carbs on the wrong side that person must be a real bmw specailist
I think it's a British machine. The throttle cable looks like the ones sold by MotoBins. You know how ass backwards the Brits can be?
Carbs are fine, bike is upside-in. I've actually made a couple inquiries of that seller, don't know where he gets all his "garage finds" but they do seem to have those same...oddities.
You have been warned.......... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1951-195...s&hash=item20ca831156&clk_rvr_id=380966783791
I think ebay needs an "Amber Alert" button: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-197...ltDomain_0&hash=item2321c34f38#ht_1597wt_1145
Brockton, That a really nice bike, it ain't a 72........judging by its condition I would guess that the mileage is honest too. Charles
Here is another one, 90s fairing kit, with cracked fairing with cracked screen over $600 US http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-R90S-...23907&pid=100011&prg=1005&rk=1&#ht_1622wt_922
That seller, Duncan's Beemer Shop, consistently wants top dollar + 50% for everything they sell. They relisted a R100GS tank on ebay for $600 for years until some sucker bought it. EDIT: Oh woops, here it is again: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-R100GS-...Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f1a627aee&vxp=mtr
He just committed a major faux pas with that tank. Those roadster tanks had a run of improper welding and they leaked up at the front mount as his description has said. The problem is, those tanks were all warranteed by BMW, and the tanks were supposed to be destroyed and not resold. WHOOPS! The dealer he got that from (if he did get it one from one) now has his ass hanging in the wind for BMW to notice . Course that was 18 years ago, but.....................you don't ever want to get auditted by BMW. EVER. it sucks worse than an IRS audit, trust me. Nice goin' Duncans Beemers!
you guys have no sense of adventure - just think how easy it would be to adjust the carb cables. Plus what an adventure if your pant leg get caught up in the linkage WOW that would be fun!!!!!
Another from Duncanbeemer's...rust costs y'know! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-77-84...1706244114762211341&pid=100011&prg=1005&rk=5&
