Took the redhead for a ride on the bike this weekend. Just a little jaunt down the coast, nothing epic. Right now it's got a tiny windscreen, even smaller than this one. I love it for warm weather and at speeds below about 60mph. Above that, it doesn't work too well. My wife thought that this screen was better than the huge Cee Bailey's screen I've got on my FJR because she didn't get buffeted as much, but there's no way I could go on a long two-up ride with the little screen. Any experiences y'all can share on two up riding windscreens and what works for you to provide some protection without too much buffeting for the passenger? Something huge or something smaller? I need to experiment with one of the other screens I've got as well. Thanks!
Have you seen the new Mirage 3? It raises up for better wind protection, but also lowers for warm weather or offroad riding. http://www.britanniacomposites.com/index.php/products/mirage3
I put a af 330 GIVI on my o6 GS with adv wings before a 4000 mile trip to Idaho last month and we are extreamly impressed with it for on road and off road. My wife and i found it very quiet at any speed plus you can move it down out of the way for ofroading and get pretty good airflow for cooling. I am 6,3 with 37in inseams and have a russell day long seat with 2 in added in high position. Hope this helps. Slade
Ya know, I swear sometimes I think I'm the shortest guy around. I'm spotting you 7". I've never had a screen so tall that I was looking through it and I'm not sure I'd like that. Can your wife even see past you? Is it the windscreen or you that shelters her when riding?
