I bought it two days ago, only have 220 miles on it so far. Haven't opened it up yet. So, please tell me? - power wheelies? Can we do them? - 100mph cruising....how's it feel? Thank you.
I find mine fairly stable at speed, i'll cruise at 130ish K's without problems with a TKC and mitas, you do run out of tyre quick in corners but you get used to it in no time. You can wheelie anything... i can get it up in first to make it easier and hold it at ballance point in second a little bit, but i really don't like pushing my luck with it.
Mine came with Perelli Scorpions. Very stable at speed. I've only had it to 100mph, but there was plenty throttle left.
I've got 40 000km done... a substantial part of it on the highways, or main roads... and no problem with an TT windshield... But as I can remember with the original, short one it was pain in the ass (and in the head too :)) with anything above 100kph.
With stock tires, had no trouble going over 200 - 210Km/h (+/- 120mph for you yankees ) Since i switched to TKC80/Karoo T i wont go over 150 (+/- 90mph), it doesn't make sence to, got to make compromises usualy cruising won't go over 60mph (i don't ride higways, twisties are way fun on this bike)
honestly I rarely ride more than 130-140kph sustained because of compromise between travel time, wind noise and fuel consumption... at 160kph (~100mph) the range is imho significally decreased.
It will hold, though i don't see the point in it, i personaly don't like to ride my Gs over 150. As someone posted above, i find the best fuel, comfort compromise to be near 120 Kph, but exepcional at 100Kph, so i don't mind spending a litlle extra time on those twisties. If you want speed on this bike, you'l have to spend some cash on lowering the suspension, change the sprockets so you get longer gears, and some rroad tires..... Ho wait, thats the f800s! cheers
Stock Anakee's 200 kph no problem... Since then, installed Mitas E09 Dakars and won't take it much over 120kph as it feels squirelly in the handlebars. Not good!
it was a post of mine about that "compromise speed". According to me ... the 120kph is a little bit slow (you don't outrun cars on highway here)... the 130-140 is optimal for czech highway. 160 kph when I'm in hurry ...
Exactly how mine feels above 80mph (kph?). I don't find the wind to be much of a problem but I've been using a regular street helmet, no visor/peak thing.
