Despite the original owner adding 60 mm risers.....I threw on the 2" Rox Risers. I did need to rotate the throttle cables to the bottom.

Yeah, I needed this big lift, since I am a 6'4" lad.........

Totally clean bike and that color combo was completely underrated. Love those Excel rims. A dream example of pre-owned.

This is what happens when you really want to ride but its still too cold and icy out there.

I designed and made a new shark fin sprocket protector with my CNC replacing the plastic oem part.:clap It can be improved still:

If the throttle cable is still a little tight, you might consider rerouting the throttle cable so that it comes out on the right side of the trellis frame rather than the left. That will give you tons of cable to work with.

I saw one of the other competitors line up and just knew my day was over. I've admired this guy's riding for years. I must've caught him on an off day. Can't believe I beat him.

I see a fuel filter sticking out the side going where it shouldn't go. I bet it has a bottle under the seat. Bigger question is . . . what's holding it up????

So, while it is cool that you won, it would seem that there really weren't any serious threats to the mighty 990.
