Live east of the Mississippi and interested in participating in Rally Diabolico and/or Baja Rally in 2014? Logistics of getting your bike out west is a big hurdle. I can provide transport of bike, spares and pick you up at airport and all transport to, during and from the rally. Ride along or fly in. It's never to early to explore options and start planning.

A few of us east coasters participated in this past Baja Rally, had a blast and plan on doing the Diabolico and maybe the spring Baja Rally. I have room for lots of bikes and people.

    Let me know if interested.

Send me a PM on which rally you are interested in or both. Do you want to ride across country or are you on a tight schedule and want to fly in?

The more people the cheaper transport will be for all!

I've had a few people contact me regarding transport to Rally Diabolico so I thought I'd put together a tentative schedule. The schedule below is similar to what we did for Baja Rally and everyone had a great time.

TBD - Truck leaves from Charlotte. I can help with arrangements getting your bike to & from truck location.
March 29th, Saturday - Pick people up at Phoenix Airport -afternoon arrivals would be best
March 30th & 31st, Sunday & Monday - Drive to Imperial Sand Dunes Rec Area & ride
April 1st, Tuesday - Prep bikes and drive to Rally
April 2nd- April 5th, Wednesday through Saturday - Rally Diabolico
April 6th, Sunday - Drive to Phoenix airport -late afternoon or red eye flights.
TBD - Truck returns to Charlotte

Riding /Road book practice March 30 & 31- We will ride the Imperial Sand Dunes area west of Yuma.

If the same group wants to return for the Baja Rally I have a secure facility I can leave the truck and trailer at in Phoenix.

    Hope this info helps

I am in New England and am thinking about doing the Rally Diabolico. :evil
If I ran the Sandblast Rally in SC would you have a place to store my bike for a couple weeks before departure?

Absolutely! It looks like there could be a few from the northeast. I travel up there frequently so I might be able to help get the bike back to you too. I'll send you a pm.

    Bill,

I might be interested in joining you for the Baja Rally. Would like to do Diabolico but that one doesn't look like it will fit my work schedule. Will be in touch once I find if this one is really going to work out or not. Very cool that you are organizing some transport, I keep thinking I live on the wrong side of the country for the types of events I want to ride!!

Oh if I didn't have a baby due right after Sandblast, I'd be all over this. That's an awesome offer BC.

If I can work out the financial logistics of entries, I hope to do both the Diaboloco and Baja Rally, but I'd likely be staying in the West in between. I work from my laptop, so my travel dates are flexible.

I'd like to head west in early to mid March to get some sand under my tires before Diabolico. Is that anywhere close to what you were thinking?

Any chance a support crew member is needed? I'd be up for pitching in to cut costs and help out as much as possible.
