Hey Jeff, if you want snow you'll get it. But since you got out of bed early enough to meet us at the MS gate at 4:30am last Saturday, I'm sure you mean biz.

Hey, I wanna see you ride the Jawa up the moutain. So many slideys, you'd probably beat a DS bike.:clap

Maple Springs gate closed:cry i figured that much cause nothing i could find said it was open..but on the recording it said main divide is open so i am assuming from ortega..but i decided to turn around and head home..it is freezing up there. even some patchs of ice on the road this morning threw silverado right before the gate.

The forest is in lockdown due to the recent storms. US Fuss says they need to check the roads for wind fall and rocks before opening.

Last evening, Friday, there was an 'incident' on Ortega. A car turned our beloved 'Lookout' into a drive-thru and there was possibly a fatality. I left my office in Irvine at 4pm and traffic stopped cold jast passed the Candy Store. I split off and headed up the Blue Jay loop towards the boyz camp. The road was littered with broken limbs and lots of snow. Thankfully, my audi is AWD, so I just powered through most of it. I got home at 6:30.:huh

INMO, it may be a while before they open it. USFS is not thrilled about mustering employees to come up and rescue weekenders who head up there un prepared.

Bummer for the rest of us...

    Time to head to Anza-Borrego!:freaky

Save your gas, all the gates here are closed for reasons previously stated, sorry...

Wild-Omar is also closed. If we get rain on Monday or Wednesday, it will stay closed to prevent damage.:deal

We tried to drive up there from Rancho Capistrano. No way, snow and ice blocking the whole road...

    Pointman, on scene!

Cory, all I know is what the USFS guys told me Friday evening. They said all the gates were locked.

Might be fun to check it out tho'...
