    Most of us used TopoLusitania on a Garmin Montana - great detail and accuracy. Of course, with CityNavigator (to find fuel and routing on tarmac) and a paper road map (to see where you actually are in Portugal and for overall planning) as back-ups.

    Paper maps were amusing - best we found were 1:200,000, which is a bit like navigating by looking at a picture of the earth, and the road signs and numbers didnt always seen to correspond.

    Interested to see the story involving the Police, we also had some dealings and I cant say they were necessarily positive.

    Ive spent the last year looking forward to going back though, cant wait!
