I had to do something Bob. I have no ass to speak of, really. Now if I could figure out a way to get my beer gut all the way back there, I'd be in business....
Back at ya Bob. Merry Holidays to everyone in fact. This sorry-assed subject will be continued on the NMTA thread, I'm sure. Sorry for the hijack everyone, now back to your Regularly Scheduled Programming...
Thanks! I used to be big on 4x4s and saw that another inmate called it lift kit so latched on to it. Did the linkage affect the rear traction in any way?
Noooo! :eek1 Too early to start making any mods - it works just fine like it is. Trust me on this one, please.
Haha, alright... I'll get off the ledge. Just looking around for opinions at this point, other "stuff" higher priority.
I AM REAL EXCITED !!! Just bought a cota,2004,cherry one !!! first trials bike !!! question ???? did i buy a good bike
Yes - one of the best 1st trials bikes IMO. Very forgiving bike to ride/turn. Smooth&Reliable. They look nice too...
I have an 03 model 315R that followed me home a few weeks ago. My first trials bike as well, I have heard nothing but great things about them being good noob bikes. Looking forward to riding more after it warms up.
Not that I could tell. Any traction problems that I usually experience is due to my poor riding, not bike setup.
I know the feeling. Discovered how poor my riding habits are during a muddy ride on 1 JAN of this year.
...anyone sellin;, I'm looking here in SoClal. Gota a buddy looking too, That's two. PM me...........
'01 Montessa... How many turns out do you guys use on the fuel screw when its cold out? Having a hard time tuning mine to idle when its 20-30 deg.
Anyone experimented with putting GM Auto-Trac II in their Montesa 315 to cure clutch drag? I looked into ELF and Silkolene oils.... but I also want my kids to go to college some day. Only a couple of places even carry ELF this side of the pond, and that is at a premium (~ $30 a quart).:eek1 I currently run Castrol which isn't bad, but clutch drags a little at start up until clutch warms up.
My local trials shop turned me on to Dumonde Tech LWHS when i was looking for ELF. http://newfaro.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&path=60_78&product_id=72 It works great. yes the bike does kick a little when you put it in gear cold, but after the initial shift jerk it's great. I don't know how available it is on the east coast but most dealers here in the PSNW carry it. $50 a gallon.
