Hey, the "Cooler Pet" even made me jump. And.....I took particular pleasure "baiting" the ladies into...."Hey, would you grab me a beer?" I believe the "Cooler Pet' is actually a (+1) next to dawdtracker's handle on the "In List"!!!
Here is our basecamp and host location. Cabins....... Motel...... The RV Park has about 60 spaces and hookups!!!!! Bathrooms and showers for the tent campers!!!! Clothes Washing...... Other activities.......
He got me this past Friday night at Roll The Bones in Hamilton, Tx. Damn, I jumped hollered and let loose a few good words.
FIXINS We are going to change the food up for 2012....... Thursday Dinner- BratwurstDogs (Open) Friday Morning - Breakfast Burritos (Open) Friday Dinner - Hamburgers (Open) Saturday Morning - Pancakes (Modette and his Team of Cake Flippers) Saturday Dinner- The Famous Ribeye Steak Dinner (Big_John, BrownEyedSuzzane and their Team of Steak Flippers) Another big change for 2012.......Food Prep and Cooking. My RMAR Board of Directors (yes we actually have an oversight and planning committee), have strongly encouraged me to give up the cooking duties. This is a volunteer activity, but those that want to step up and do the cooking and cleaning for a meal.....it is greatly appreciated, keeps the cost down and unloads a ton of the work off of me and BrownEyedSuzanne. I will purchase everything we will need and bring it to Silverton and all the cooking tools/gear, grill.....pots and pans will be provided. You just need to send me a PM and say....."Me and this guy and that gal.....will take over the cooking for the Friday Dinner." It is nice to have a team of about 3-5 Chefs. Don't volunteer unless you have cooking skills and you are ready to face 150-200 VERY HUNGRY ADV'ers! <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
ktmdoc and sabarocket are in. That is unless I don't have my ten year remodeling project for the master bedroom done, Then there will only be one and Amy told me I will be homeless in Silverton
Well, he deserves to deal some misery to others (and have a lot of laughs) after what I drug him through on the western side of Colorado a few weeks ago..... He kept using that KLR as a landing cushion going down Sheep Creek.
TheMuffinMan has stepped up and is taking the Friday night burger slot. He is putting a team together, so if you want to help him.....send him a PM.
I'm going to try and make it for the weekend, but no promised just yet. I'm burning more than my vacation time with a trip to NZ
Well, I am starting to feel guilty...... I hope my "Easy Big Bike Ride" didn't scare you away to NZ this year, Lovin'. There were a lot of Stroms dropped that day. I feel proud that so many DL's were properly baptized in the Colorado high country!!!!!! If Lovin is out, ktmdoc...... Maybe Woody would "man a pair of tongs" or you can recruit another grill master? I think I will have Amy busy helping me carry steaks back and forth. Speaking of the "Easy Big Bike Ride"...... Who's in for 2012?
Some more pics of the area..... Looking down on Silverton.... Riding down the mountain toward Ouray..... Various other locations in the area.....
John I talk to Woody and I am sure he will put in his expert opinion. He has told me he can flip steaks with a tire iron with the best of any grill meister around. Tom
