Yeah but 50% of the Vespa's finished the race while only 37% of all other vehicles combined finished. Not as glorious as a Toyota or KTM sponsor but impressive none the less. :lol3

On another note: I PM'ed Schickmester/Jason about things in NJ. He is fine but alot of friends and family were not so lucky. Told him I was donating to the Red Cross to help out. Any that can donate, please do. Said hello to everyone and said he misses TX. We miss him too and wish him well.

Thanks, Foto. I have been keeping up on fb and his parents had a really close call with destruction.

My kid's "beer and Halloween candy" emergency provisions held up in New Haven . They never lost power or water. Thankfully.

Just found this thread and wanted to see if any Central Texas rides were going on.
I am in Brownwood, Tx which is almost the exact center of Texas so that will give me a good start on any rides in the area.
Just wanted to check in an say Hello.

Hey, man. It's me again. (I'm everywhere.) Sorry you missed Roll the Bones last weekend. We didn't kill anybody!! That's always a good thing. :D Something will be coming up soon enough. Ghost is laid up with a funky shoulder but his campouts will start in earnest after the New Year. Somebody is riding somewhere every weekend. I am heading East tomorrow, though.

Do you know the best dirt roads around your area? I'd like to go run some tasty dirt and see if I can use it for my Red to the Rio project. One leg is coming through Bosque County and I'm thinking Brownwood for the other.

Huh. Ever since the Rally Raid my iPhone sounds and feels crunchy. Like little gritty caliche grains have worked their way down deep. Wonder what it is?

Mike, it sure was foggy going across your dam this morning. No lake or river visible to either side not a thing but road and white.

Dang, right. It was fog and mist when I was running FM1860 into Riesel. Got dry around Groesbeck and by Personville 10 miles later and about 10:00, the bluest blue sky. Freaky.
