Yup, the Lynx from Britannia Composites. Had both lights done in HID. Got the plug 'n play outlets with it, mounted the heated grips switch and volt meter too on the dash along with the Montana.
Hey Christian, Where did you get the sticker for the Safari tank? I want to dress my orange one up a bit, but don't really want to pay the $300 for the full set from RR. Does it adhere well? C
I don't know. It come on the tank when I bought it new I can see that they were manually cut. One side sticks great. The other one kind of come undone once a while But I like how it breaks of the black some so I leave them on Maybe came from a 950 or something. I don't know
Can you tell me which tires those are, and are they tubeless on the stock wheels? I want to try a set of good non-knobby tires on the stock wheels before I invest $2500 in a supermoto setup :) Your bike looks great!
Does anyone know the part numbers or where to order the 4th, 5th, 6th wide ratio transmission gears for the Ralley 690??? They are wider than the american normal ratios. If you do, please chime in!!!
+1 Yes Scorp's. I've got these on - great on tarmac but limited off road. They're lasting quite well too with near 6000 miles on and plenty of life left.
The bike came with these and the original set of MT21's in good shape. The A/T's are great road tires. They are tube tires. I got a Motoz Tractionator rear and I'm looking forward to having a reason to put it on. It is an aggressive looking thing.
Finally got a solid ride in today on my new to me '11 R. Been a bit of a work in progress to get it to where I want it, even though it came to me very well appointed. So far I've removed Kouba lowering link (which is for sale in Flea market...), added proper DOT knobbies (Scorpion Rally fr, XCMH rear), oil change, UNI air filter, RR upper tank bolts. Here's a pic from the Uinta's today... All I can say is DAMN! this bike is everything I hoped and then some
Creedy how did you go fitting the cycra guards, I picked a set up from my local today and I reckon I got the wrong clamps... I remember reading they took some effort to fit, so I will keep trying over the next few arvos
Hello, long time around, now my first post. My 690R 2012, ready fo my trip from germany to croatia. Luggage for 7 day travel, no camping stuff.
Yep, they were a pain in the arse at first but with a little bit of patience, they fit using the CRM mounts. I have some BRP handguard mounts on the way so that should tidy things up a bit. Almost, this was taken last weekend up around the Barrington tops in the Hunter NSW. Creedy.
And I am grateful for the suggestion. Installed mine a few weeks back and they certainly save a ton of room on the bars for other nik naks.
