SC State Ride to Lunch Thread

Just a reminder for everyone: Saturday, October 5th is the Race to Ridgeland fly-in at the Ridgeland Airport. I will be involved in the events associated with the fly-in all day, but everyone is welcome to come down and enjoy the show. Good riding around the area and good food in town as always and burgers and soft drinks at the fly-in. Handicapped airplane race, spot landing contest, helicopter candy drop for kids, formation flight demo, and lots more. My hangar for "hanging out".

If you guys would like to make that the destination for October, please be my guest!

Hope the regular crowd can make it. Should be a fun day, the flying and riding down here is all pretty good! There will be a 'big time' formation demo at 1:15 pm or so, just as an example.

How was lunch yesterday? Any pics? I wanna see Lee's new ride.

Hey Justin: We had nice weather for the air show and a bunch of riders showed up. I didn't get much time with everyone since there was a lot to do, but I'm hoping everyone had a good time. We had an awesome aerial aerobatic/formation demonstration by some seriously good pilots---it was the highlight of the day for me. The race and the rest all went well too (I even won a trophy for once!)...didn't see too many cameras out but maybe someone got some pictures.

Hope everyone got something good to eat and got home safe and sound. I was so busy I didn't eat all day---had KFC on the way home after cleaning up!

Leaving Ridgeland I hit Beaufort and got caught in the Shrimp Festival. I'll spare you the pictures of folks groovin to the East Coast Party band but I ended up staying a while.

The Ural's older sibling in the wild-despite loitering around I couldn't find the owner.



After all the Shrimp went to bed.

I've been riding my R1 to work one day a week lately. Makes it an interesting day to ride in, change into business clothes, and they to change out for the ride home. Great fun too but not something I have done very often...nice change of pace...
