When I convinced Moose Racing to let me spec a -2.5 inch Adventure screen, I tried to convince them to make an Translucent Orange version specifically with Geek's bike in mind:

Selfishly I wondered if there was any way to improve an already perfect looking Adventure.

Well, sure enough, Moose prototyped an Orange screen on someone's 950. This would look choice on Geek's. But then again Narsisco would want one too.

I'm working on getting a translucent blue version for my '04 S.

Narsisco, can your brother get perforated vinyl label material? When I had my Aprilia RXV550 it had a black plastic polyethylene tank and the OEM tank labels were lightly perforated with pinholes, I assume for the out-gassing. Worked great. They stayed on for years of rough treatment. Tough to get labels to stick to low energy polymeric surfaces, such as the x-linked polyethylene these tanks are made from, takes a special adhesive.

Yes, he can and that was his suggestion if I wanted to try to do a full tank wrap again. It's the same material that's used to cover glass/windows on large vehicle wrap jobs. I think the perforated stuff only comes in white, so it needs to be graphically-printed before application.

We found this company www.motoadventours.com run by a Swedish gal and her partner Dakar rider Patrick Trahan. They kindly let us store some gear there as well as swapping our tyres over. Really helpful and friendly folk (despite the Beemers :D )

Can't understand this from KTM.... they present it in the note like a big deal, and is just a couple of Baja decals away from the usual 990... (the accesories doesn't count, they are already available).

    :huh.

Perhaps their way of hedging their bets in N.A. market in case the 1190 flops:lol3

Oh yes, rubRsidedown, that's the idea.
I'm looking to cross Los Andes to Chile this weekend, in order to get some parts for the bike from KTM Chile.

I still have to correctly present my bike here. Hope I can do it soon.

    Cheers!

    Hi guys.
They were quite turbulent days for me here, so just today I can correctly present my bike: a 2007 KTM 990 Adventure, "S" version.

She's like any other bike, but... she's mine... :D
So here go some pics which show her as I bought it, except for the screen (was stock translucid) and a non KTM panniers rack which is gone. Sorry they are at home for the moment, not the landscapes she deserves.

I have changed her look already with a Crispy Designs Decal Kit (will post pics later), and I'm looking for crossing Los Andes to Chile this weekend, for a water pump rebuild (preventive), other checks and also a few farkles at KTM:wink:

    Glad to be "in" :D

    Cheers!
