Awesome route! I plan on doing something close to your 2006 ride but with Ireland, UK, and western Russia thrown in. I'm guessing 10k miles in 2 months. Maybe we'll meet along the road.

I haven't picked my exact dates yet but I'd really like to go to a MotoGP race. The likely dates are:
    Assen 28 June
    Sachsenring 13 July
    Brno 17 August.

It would be cool to meet some ADVers at a race.

It will be a nice trip too !
I plan to be 1 month earlier in the surroundings of Brno. For Assen and Sachsenring, almost 2 months earlier.

    Hi DanVFR.
    Thank you very much.
With pleasure for the beer (without maintenance, I hope), if you could come along my way. I will ride there normally on the sixth of April.
You can have a look on the planned routes here.

    Hi Luckybastard,
I'll need assistance in Tallin on the 24th of June, I think. But it seemed everything will be closed at this date ? If it's so, then I'll stay one day more. I think that I'll normally only need the change of oil and filter. I'll post here regularly to give news and send photos, then if you follow it, we will be able to contact us for potential meeting. Anyway, thank's a lot for your help's proposal.

    Bonjour Fabrice,

    Great trip planned there sir.

Keep a note of our details and if you need any help if and when you are passing through our area feel free to give us a call. Cold beers always in the fridge, Biker garage has most of the tools you may need and in the event of a more serious problem, we can get your bike in our minibus.

I'm really jealous. The most I am going to squeeze in is a 4 day trip to Croatia.

I dropped mine was and manages to get it up by myself pretty fast.
That was on a paved (be it slippery and muddy) road though.

So. Come back here to give some news. Less than ten days before departure, I think I'm almost ready.
Fist of all, the bike had to be prepared. My brother did it. And as a preparation, I didn't ask him to put pretty special things on it. No, just complete revision, just change what has to be done, nothing more.

My brother was not very happy, because he had first to clean the bike, because he hates to work upon a dirty one, and as I almost never wash my bikes, he always has to do it ! :lol3

But, sorry, It's all in french language, perhaps not so bad with on line translaters !

There was also some work to stengthen the topcase's support, which was really ready to break. I've a nephew who is iron's man in the family.:1drink
    He made it really robust.

But I keep the old ugly top case, it will be enough for "Serparti".

Perhaps some explanation about the name I gave to my small bike.
    "Serparti" is a wordplay.
The pronunciation of "Serparti", in french, corresponds exactly to the words "c'est reparti", which means "here we go again"...
It's just because I had a two years break in my motorbike's life, and then I buyed this one after that pause !

So, now, you'll understand me when I'll speak about Serparti.:lol3

Last week, I received a great gift at home.
Bering, a french motorbike clothings specialist and well renowned by us in France, decided to participate in my Europa 2014 tour. They sent me motorcycle jacket, jean and gloves of top quality, and I want to thank them a lot for that !

Unfortunately, the Jean is too small.

Or perhaps am I too fat ?... :lol3

I hope to receive the good one very soon.

The complete report, in french, on the usual website.

About the red tape (paper work ?), the things are now ready.

I received the famous russian Visa. Gret !

I received the international driving license. It was painful to get it, because of our french really and totally ugly administration, but... ok, in the pocket !

And everything is clear with insurance, assistance, european health insurance card, and so on.

The whole report in french, as usual.
