The bolt that is slightly obstructed (in the picture only) is one of the bolts to remove the left crank case cover. I think that is the one you are asking about.

The bolt at the right end of the "U" shape is to insert the crank TDC position lock pin. Whick leads to the last photo...

The bolt next to the "K15" in the pic is the oil drain. The one right next to it on the bottom of the motor.

That is the oil line that runs from the scavenger/suction pump to the oil tank. maybe we should switch to pm's.

Thanks for all the advise! Seems like one wire is bad, got volts to read correctly now, but the light is still dead. Will search ebay for alternatives.

Gonna be parting out my old girl. Starting small first. Im selling my Hammerhead Designs gold tip (lol) and is +20 size shift lever on eBay but the rest I will be putting on here after i find it all.

Not sure where you are but I sourced all the parts to replace my swingarm bearings from simplybearings.co.UK using dimensions taken from the BMW parts fiches on the maxbmw website.

Thanks Jester, I've used simply bearings, but I fancied trying a plain bush instead of the needle rollers, the left hand had collapsed, BSL got me one, just fitted it, put a grease nipple in, I'll see how it performs when I get it back on it's wheels.....

Touratech does a double LED fo G650X, they`ll take just an arm for it

it might be a dumb questions but how do I remove the brass locator pins from the switches on the handlebars? I was going to just give a hard tug with pliers but dont want to end up wrecking the kill/abs or the other multi switch
New black bars look sharp, but cant be used yet

That works just fine. Pull them with pliers.

If they don't come out easily, heat them for a few seconds with a soldering iron and they will just drop out.

They used my stock pan and covered it with the gripper top and carbon sides. Love it! Here it is on the bike...

What stock pan did you use? Regular or low seat? If so, how's the height compare to your original?

XR600 & XR400 ones fit with new bends in the shank to match the OEM.

I used the original height pan. It measures 5" from the bottom of the pan (Right above the upper shock mount) to the flat portion of seat.

The owners manual doesn't give the coolant capacity. How much for a full flush and fill?
