What happened with the Cody's after day 1 guys and what is the story on the Honda, has Quinn left KTM and back with Honda - is he Dakar bound? Questions, questions
QC lost his motor 10m before the finish D2. Anna was at RM97.xx when I stopped to check on her. She eventually got a bike to swap bodywork and finish the race.
Rider's meeting the evening before the race. Quite an impressive crowd: Anna Cody, day one: Poor little camp monkey... "Chase crew" making fun of racers that stopped and waited at the red light! Philo having bike issues early on: Philo had to hand scroll his road book the rest of the race: Ok, I know it's a RACE but it's also Baja and one can never be in too much of a hurry to pass up a fresh fish taco...isn't that right Frog? This guy had a great time! This guy said he wished the stages were more miles...what's wrong with him? Sportsmanship at its finest: Lots of other cool stuff to see...boats out at the "Ship wreck" site: The "Anna Cody Paparazzi": Hats off to all the people that worked so hard to put this together. And a huge salute to all the racers...and I must say...NED: you are a GIANT CLASS ACT!!! Another fun Baja trip! For my husband and I a Baja first: Nothing broken, no one injured, no 12 hour days ending in an unplanned bivi, and we only ran out of gas once. Fantastic!!!
The bike was borrowed and was hard to start saturday evening, I talked to him about dakar and he said he wasn't planning on it.
Quinn doesn't ride for KTM. He was set to ride for Speed Brain HUSKY for 2013, at the end of 2012 he broke his Femur and wasn't able to race the Dakar. HUSKY dropped speed brain so his "Speed Brain Husky" contract didn't exist anymore. This year he is a free agent and working on getting things rolling again for 2014 after having, and I quote, "one of the worst seasons of my life" in 2012 breaking his collar bone while running 6th at Dakar and his femur running 2nd in Baja. The Bike that he was riding was borrowed from JCR, which its last event was with Johnny Campbell racing the Last Dog Standing. Anna's 250f was just beat in the dunes.
- that's the questions answered. I forgot about the Speedbrain bit in the middle - watch this space then.

A buddy of mine asked me if I had the oldest tech and oldest bike in the race. I said "oh by far, everyone one else was in 525, 450, ,640..... Oh wait. There was this /6." "A what?"
Several times a day, while going through some of the tougher sections, I would think of Jason and BlackBeatty. I just had to laugh, shake my head and push a little harder. Congrats again Jason! Nice to finally meet you.
I saw Jason on the rocky beach on day one after making we made a wrong turn. I found what I thought was the right way but it turns out we were not suppose to go up Spiderman trail. The entire way up I was thinking this is going to suck on that BMW. Spoke to him after and sounds like he made it with no issues.
