I bought one of those new in 1981, THE MOST tractable 2 stroke ever at the time, made super strong low end torque and had a nice long pull at the top end. A friend of mine had a CZ400 at the time and after riding the IT said "yeah it's smooth but not as fast as my CZ". Well into our ride after some steep uphills where the IT just tractors and he's flailing and having great amounts of trouble he decides to get even by passing me on a fire road along some RR tracks. I see him coming up on me tucked in and pinned...so I gas the 465 and it's a little off the pipe..in 5th gear...so I downshift once, then again and by then he's coming by and we're both pinned:D:D!! U hit 4th and match him side by side...both of us pinned, tucked and flying down this dirt road....as we crest a small rise I snick the 465 into 5th and the front wheel lifts about 10 inches and he dissappears off the back of my peripheral vision as the front wheel just hangs in the air at prolly 65-70 MPH!! He later says it was like "30 guys with BB guns" pelting him with roost!
About a week later he comes knockin on my front door...come see what I just bought.....he says...:lol3

My first bike, a 1980 Suzuki DS100. Not ridable when I got it, after a brief rebuild, shed hit 30 on the street. Heres some pics of the rebuild, somehow, the pics of the finished product dissappeared, and all three bikes in the pictures are sold now. It is what it is.

Yeah that's Bobby Costello's. He builds em. I've known him a few years, back when he worked at Moto Bravo.

Does he work for the Vespa dealer now? I was in there with my lady last fall and in the back, somebody had a Yamaha 2S in the throes of cafe racering. This could be the finished product.
VERY cool little bike, lovely work.
    Thanks for the pictures.
    Cheers
    Barry
