Runs OK. Coming up on first oil change. Fighting oil leaks in the rear drive and contemplating a drive change. Blew one of the brazed patches off the pipes so a temp patch there. I have the spigots for the O2 sensors so I may get that welded in finally. Need to put effort into fixing truck and quit fooling with the bike tho', snow approaches.

In your mind, how do you justify each of the bikes? Whenever I pick another bike, I try to envision a ride I would go on where that particular bike would be better suited than any of the others. In my case: the S2 is the sporty, vintage-feeling one, the S3 is the sport tourer, the S1W is the stripped naked bike with a 'tude, the Westwind is the "WTF is that" bike for special events, the ZX11 is the velvet sledgehammer (long distance sport touring), GS/PD for long distance stuff that might include dirt roads, Cagiva Elefant 650 for 300-500 mile days that might include dirt roads but, don't want to hammer the GS, the Elefant 900 for rough pavement day-rides, 620 Adventure for local fire roads and pavement carving, the 640 Adventure for Death Valley (knobbies and high-pipe), ATK setup for B2V, ATK setup for just general play riding--OK--I'm starting to run out of excuses and there are still a bunch more sitting here.

How do you resolve that in your brain...or have you just given up and just buy them "because"?

LOve you taste in cars. If you gotta cage, a V70 is a nice choice.

The Volvo belonged to the guy selling the Buell. Our driveway's got a Mazda pickup (Ford Ranger) and Toyota Highlander (that's made me a huge fan).

The tank and seat unit on that Buell reminds me of the Vetter design of the Triumph Hurricane.

Hi, Jenna. Happy New Year to you, too. :wave

Yes, I'm aware of Trevor's situation. Was hoping the sig-line might help others know of his struggles.

Since I first saw it, Trevor's video has been one of my favourite things on ADV.

Click on the link. Watch the video and read the thread!

+1.....that RR is on my top ten! I suggest everyone watch the video then give Trevor's mom 20 bucks towards a new van.

Okay, here's a bit of Old School nostalgic history care of ADV's Pay Dirt who sent this along earlier today. Taken by his brother in September 1980 in Quesnel, British Columbia. Apparently he reversed the slide in his scanner.

That's Pay Dirt on the left with his '76 GL1000 LTD, his buddy John in the middle with '78 or '79 XS1100 (they were enroute to California and Mexico for the winter) and yours truly on the right with '78 XS750.

    SWEET! Right-hand drive kickstands! :clap

That Excess Eleven would be a '79 if it's dark blue. '78 (intro year) was burgundy.

Dang, and here I thought you were in Kee-beck. :D

Mirrored the image around for ya, let me know when you've gotten it downloaded and I'll delete it from Ole Baldy's server... <-DONE

Nice nostalgia image. Times gone by. Sigh.
