Cheers Cm. I might force myself to go for a pootle tomm round Moutere as its lovely riding round there. Spending time with the kids is becoming now a priority. They have reached that age (9 & 11 where they can do a lot of stuff with you & i'm aware of that short window we have till they start preferring hanging out with their friends. Luckily for them, their parents are such hip & cool people :lol3

There's a bumblebee on Tme at the mo but I think Struan may be after it so you may have to wrestle with him.

Time with kids is the best investment you can make, our son (25) now tries to kill me by making me go to track days with him, I still seem to be paying more than my share tho so it's not perfect yet...

I saw the R80 thanks and Struan has already offered to pick it up for me, I thought he was being generous but maybe he has an ulterior motive, sneaky south islanders!

Quite rare to see a kick start, mind you after seeing attempts made to start, wouldn't even consider it...The compression must be HUGE! All in the technique I suppose. It went fast! I saw it on the site and thought the same, why hasn't it sold.

I had a kickstart on the R80 and it was easy enough to kick over (the R100 has similar compression) but trying to control the throttle and kick was a lesson in gymnastics, made for great entertainment for the onlookers.
The kickstart is known to be a bit fragile tho and is recomended for emergency use only.

if you use the kick start and it wears teeth on the shaft it willcost you $279 and a gearbox pull to get a new one

    its only for show.

Wow some amazing bikes. That Oscar he's a trick.
What is this bike? I normally don't like flash looking bikes but this is pretty cool.

The last Triumph won that category (best Triumph). Michael's bopper BMW won people's choice. Boxer Odyssey got Spirit of Smash Palace. Chris's NCR (Ducati Paul Smart replica) got best European.

Gus got nothing, & I had to move away from him given I was constantly explaining how many litres the tank could hold, & why I didn't use it like that.

No painting got done this weekend, even though the weather was good.

Given the no of people that attended, I would think that it'll be annual. But I guess that depends on the organisers. They may need to think about a different venue though. I think it was at capacity. I think they may have got more there than they anticipated.
