As i previously posted i said i was working on a way to use this on my 2010 GSA. This is what i came up with and it works great. For the front wheel i got a 6 inch piece of 3/4 inch inside diameter PVC and ground it down on the grinder to fit inside of a 6 inch long 1 inch inside diameter piece of PVC. I then added a coupler to the top of the 1 inch ID pvc then ground that down below the coupler to fit the front wheel.Looks like this For the rear wheel i took the small(15MM) adapter and had it turned down to fit the inside of the rear wheel adapter of my Marc Parnes tire balancer This works great for me and hope this helps those of you that have GS and GSA's Jim
Okay, check over in the group but thread linked above and let me know if you want the "beginner" or "pro" stand. One has a single locking pusher and the other has four.
I know some people keep it with them at all times. Depends on what kind of space you have and how much you prefer it over spoons.
Heads up the group buy round 3 has about 2 weeks to go. We're getting the full 20% discount on the stands, so get in while the gettin' is good. Ending June 30.
Will the stand orders go in sooner, as they are shipping direct to buyers? Thanks for your hard work! Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2
Was directed at Evan, but I see this is the first thread. I watching multiple threads. Rams, how is the stand working for you? (I have one on order with Evan) Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2
Placing the whole order at the same time, so they won't go out any sooner unless it just takes him longer to send me all the tools. But, you should in theory recieve the stand orders sooner since you're skipping the middle man (me).
Pricing, including shipping directly to you, is on page one of the new thread here: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=891116
Reminder that the third group buy closes June 30. Not sure if ther'll be another so get in while you can.
Is there a similar tool for dismounting a tire besides spoons? I ha a HF rig but it was too cumbersome. I would be in for the next group buy if there is one.
Inmates with a tire tool, anyone have any troubles with theirs? I used mine to reinstall the tire after a flat repair on a 17" Heidenau rear tire, and all was just perfect. This last week though I helped a friend install a new set front and back tires, and the 21" front tire was giving me problems. It seemed really stiff to push the tire onto the rim with the tool. Eventually figured it was the gearing on the tool at the longest reach. Tried greasing the gears, but seems the gear meshing is off just a bit. This happen for anyone else?
