Did a couple laps around Fort McHenry the other day. Hopped off the bike long enough to snap a mobile phone pic.

Just a short 7 mile ride for lunch at National Harbor over the Wilson Bridge in DC.

Last time we rode this we were both on our old cheap bikes. What a difference decent bikes make!

When we got there there was an event calle dthe "Color Run", a 5K wiwhere every 1 K they toss colored chalk on the runners. Very coiol, and they all seemed to have fun!

Some may recognize this spot. It is as the VA side of the Wilson Bridge in Alexandria, VA!

Great fun, cool temps, and sunny days. Can't ask for much more.

Had a cogal with the gang on Thursday (Thursday/Friday were holidays here)

Shagamu to Abeokuta and back, 80km of rolling hills

Started later than planned, everyone and his family was on the road out of Lagos and we spent an hour plus doing 50km to Shagamu

Nice ride, road had very little traffic, just enough punishment from the hill climbs to qualify as a Cogal.

Temps at start was in the region of 28 deg C and kicked up to 32-34 deg C by return trip.

Staging point. The factory that makes 'Maggi' cubes, a food seasoning is about a 500m behind.

I used to ride all the time. Generally would ride my mountain bike between 150-200 miles a week. Unfortunately I haven't ridden in a couple years but I had some of my fondest memories riding.

Used to do a lot of riding in the city as well.

Riding down a Jersey Barrier. We used to go to the skate park around here evey once in a while as well. I actually was getting pretty good at doing a sproket grind on my single speed. We couldn't ride anywhere near as good as the young BMX guys but it was still fun.

Used to combine riding and camping trips as well. Spent countless weekend in Jim Thorpe and on the C & O Canal.

This may sound weird but this is the only photo I have from what was the best ride I ever had. We were riding in tight tight single track and it was snowing pretty steady and we would shake the trees as we turned the bars around them and cover the guy behind you in snow. Ride lasted until I fell into a creek up to my waste and had to call it quits. I still got home after dark and if I didn't get soaked we would have kept going into the night. I used to love night riding and it was the only way we could get our rides in in the winter time.

Awesome Will. I know many of the places you show!

Dina and I did a short 21 miles on the C&O from Carderock to Georgetown yesterday. The weather was perfect!

Funny, when we got to Georgetown we were planning to have lunch, see restaraunt photo, but I forgot to bring money, so we had to ride back hungry! :baldy

Great ride though, and not bad for an old fat guy and his hottie wife!

Took the Connie down to NC this weekend to see some friends. Since I haven't gotten around to fabbing up a rack to carry my bike, I rented one while I was down there.

Quick zip up & down the American Tobacco Trail. 12 miles total. The Synapse is a pretty nice bike. I like my CAAD9 better, though.

We also hit up the BAR M trails while we were there. No pics of that place because it wasn't nearly as scenic.

Grind holes. Always gives me a good feeling to find one with the grinder still in it.
