The rear is a Mitas E-07 Dakar. It might go twice the distance of a K60. You have to buy them from MX1 Canada though, they're not sold in the states.

I wanted these too but there were none to be had at the time. I ended up with the K60's.

They are WAY better than the battlewings, at least they have some tread and aren't a street tire.

Sometimes it is better for folks to assume your stupid and keep your mouth closed, than to open it and remove all doubt :lol3 WTF am I thinkin? :norton

I no shit thought BMW had some high speed way of making spoked wheels tubeless on the F8...guess I need to start carrying tubes and spoons...moe.ron can have my plug kit.

    moe.ron part 6? 7? Does it matter?

A rare occasion moe.ron honored me with his presence and decided to make a showing in his own on-going report. A day off from Zombie Prep...:2guns

Where do big poser dirt bikes meet? SBUX!!!

At least now, we both have knobbly tires or 50/50s :evil

The bike really feels stiff with steering now, sidewall flexion lessened? Sqare front with the TKC? Don't know :dunno Hell I thought they were tubeless till yesterday :lol3

The coast was sopped in with a thick, low cloud layer...I knew it would break once we climbed inland.

And comments about the ride-ability of the new tires on pavement and dirt?

Well...I only have about 200 miles on em now, but first impression on the pavement is they made the steering stiffer. It took some getting use to, but I was railing twistys by the end of the day. Off road they are such a step up from the shitty Pirelli Scorpion Trails? or whatever the hell those junk tires were. Now when I hammer the throttle the front end actually gets lighter instead of just a spinning rear. Cornering in the dirt is waaaayyy better, but again look what I am comparing em too. No real hum, feel smooth, just stiffens the steering some.

Made it through Quatal Canyon with no problemos, though looking back this may have been where I dinged my rim

There are some baby head sized rocks on the way up, might have whacked one of them..damage is minimal and I am sure there is more to come soon enough

OK? So, what's up with the flag? It's part of the local BMW Dealer's GS Venture Challenge..join the club, get free tire changes, t-shirt, numbered flag...do a certain amount of rides either with them or on your own and get a snazzy jacket...it's a cool little infant. The tire changes alone are worth it.

This was a great Sunday ride and an excellent way to cap off the months of prep we have made to ready for Death Valley at the end of the month...I am now home sick on some powerful anti-biotics...hope I can knock it out of my system in a few days..Thanks for riding moe.ron, it really was about perfect of a day..:D
