no mtb ..but do/did BMX cruiser class. thinking about getting back into that again..I got a 24"er sitting in the garage i never ride anymore.
Don't worry, they don't use Snowy. The only trail they use in the forest is Tejon Trail, from Gold Hill Road over to the north end of the park, or vice versa, which ever way they are running it this year. The rest of the event is run entirely in the SVRA.
I've never camped at the track, but it was tight when they were camping in the park, when I've gone to the GP at the track, it's a tight squeeze. Getting there saturday will help
I know there are lots of places to camp out there but it sure would be nice to not have to commute.... Im just excited to have a race within an hour of home! here's for more Gorman races!@
...and Mike, yer a big fibber.... first loop is 40 miles! and the second loop is 45! Are the loops easier usually? oh and how does the pit thing work? Im going to need a pit for the first time.....
It's like an Enduro, you finish your first loop and you have a break, maybe 20 or 30 minutes, so you can get gas, eat a sandwich, whatever. You just have to make sure you start your second loop on time.
The forecast is saying low temps and 30% chance of rain. That would be a welcome change from the usual inferno. Don't sweat the numbers, it's an enduro, you will run your row # and A, B, C or D as required. For example, I am on row 20, so I am #20A. You can put your green bar on for the next desert race. They sell numbers at sign up for $2, in the past I have just stuck them on the back of the rider instructions and duct tape them on the number plate.
So I dont need to clear it with anyone or anything? I just put on the green bar and line up on the C line?
You still have to make sure Janeanne knows you want to bump up, you just don't have to put your district number on for this race, and there is no C line, just whatever row you are assigned, 4 bikes to a row. Hell you could be on the same row with Quinn Cody if he showed up late, you never know.
I would LOVE to line up next to him.... Id love to watch him ride for the four seconds he would be within sight.... so they give everyone a new number for the enduro? I just put on the green bar?
You can put your green bar on if it makes you feel better, but you don't physically need it on the bike for an enduro. They assign you a number for the next available row or opening on an existing row that isn't full. Whatever row that may be, that is your number, plus a b c or d. Stop thinking so hard, just show up and we'll get you straightened out
I do "think hard" from time to time.... I just like to know what to expect! Ill be getting tires in the morning but ill see ya Saturday afternoon.... when are you heading out?
I made one last week....? did you see it? here's the link if you missed it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjRZ2fkWNu4 Ill definitely make one for this enduro since its my first one - and my first two looper.
really..... hmmmm might have to give that a go. Im guessing you mean the real one...? Ill take quyen on two up!
you fellas have fun i'm out for the weekend...I got a freaking perforated sinus from getting my wisdom teeth pulled :huh doc says no riding risk of infection from the dirt etc etc is too great. the $5 mx track looked cool too.
