We were just up in that area to ride some of the TCAT from Timmins to Bancroft but missed the Trestle section. Weren't sure how to get there.
Great work guys. So happy it's all done and ready to be explored. Thanks for all the hard work on getting this huge project completed. I know I'm excited. Already loaded the GPS files on my Oregon. Planning is in progress. Sign me up for a book and maps.
I'm going to the hu rally in barrie this weekend just to see Ted do his presentation on the tcat. Sent from my Droid RAZR using tapatalk 2
Just when I was wondering what to do next August. Awesome accomplishment. I remember thinking the first time I heard your vision for the TCAT, around a fire, after a few pops, "this is going to take for ever". Yet you got it done in two years. Congratulations to you and thanks to everyone who did the painstaking work of scouting candidate stretches. This community owes you a debt of gratitude (and beers).
Ya well, hopefully its early in the evening before the whiskey gets opened Thanks for all the kind words, please remember this is a team effort. Fab, Chris, David, Ross and a whole bunch of others folks have contributed and spent their time and money helping the project. I am only one spoke of the wheel Over the upcoming weeks the route descriptions will be published. Maps available for download, etc Cheers
Piece by piece the TCAT is being completed. The Vancouver Island route description is almost complete LINK Over the coming weeks the rest of the route descriptions will be posted and once finished the gps files, maps, etc will be ready for download. The end is in sight
Great job guys. The Vancouver Island description is fantastic. I want to load up the bike & ride. Can't wait for the rest to follow.
I have ridden some of the Island route . There is some great riding to be had, retirement creeps up on me and so is the finish day for this. I always hear guys talk about what they want to do when they retire from the Canadian Forces. I boggled them when I told em this is my goal.
The BC mainland section of the TCAT is now completed and all there is to do is finish the paperwork. Here is a few pictures from this year's re-riding of the route. I'll post more pictures later when there is time.
Wow, that's amazing, great job! I'm stuck here in cramped Europe, I wished we had such a playgroung.. maybe some day..
Just read through the Island section, and I must say it is very well done. You guys are doing a terrific job. Nothing but resect for all your hard work in making this route for everyone to use for years to come. I plan on riding it from east to west this summer. Thanks, Rick
"In a nutshell the TCAT is finished" Like many before me who mentioned following this thread, I too have another goal for the proverbial "Bucket List". . . . . Great Job Deadly and all of those contributors along the way!! Cheers,
