    Hello!

My new T500 is acting a bit weird. When it is on the sidestand, and I take it off the stand, petrol will run out. If I then put it back on the sidestand, petrol will come out again.

So every time, it is being tilted or raised up, petrol is coming out.

So I guess it is carbs off float bowl clean and the needle area.

    What else?

where exactly is it coming out??? There is a drain hole through the crank case possibly, if like tye T250, where gas can accumulate on top of the motor and when moved could drop down to the bottom. Same with Gas accumulating in the air box.

So you could just have a leaking float boal drain plug, leaking fuel line, as well as possible float / needle problems.

From my experiences I say change the needle and seat. I had that problem on my 89 KTM 350

also carry a fire extinguisher until you get it fixed, I had a new to me bike catch fire that way and I was very lucky to be able to put it out with my gloves before I lost it :eek1 some of the overflow gas was ignited by the alternator wires. FWIW in my case the PO had installed new floats and they were a bit too wide at the pivot, no more overflows after I filed them a bit

Shoot carb cleaner through the carb fuel intake tube. It usually cleans out the float nerdle and seat area. Try that before cleaning the whole thing.

Is this while the bike is running, or not running?
If it happens while it is running, check needles/seats and float heights as previously mentioned.
if it happens while it is not running i would suspect the needles and seats, but your vacuum petcock might also be bad.

what year t500 did you end up getting? is there a picture thread yet?

actually after re-reading your thread, how much gas is coming out? is it constant or just a small amount after the tilt? starting to sound like the float level is just a little off.
