It could be in fucking Wisconsin and I'd try to be there.

NorCal? maybe. Great riding, but maybe not the epic high pass stuff of the rural mountain west that's become the hallmark of these things.

I'm sorry I missed it. :cry

I was committed to the MOA thing and couldn't add in another week or so of travel. And, to be blunt, I thought the first Ouray was just ok compared to the fun at Hope Valley. Too many people. Too much grumbling at the KOA. I know we're not supposed to talk about such things, but as soon as the closing ceremonies started up, I thought and said, "What the fuck?" :dunno T-shirts are one thing, a schedule of events is another.

Keep it sloppy. Keep it informal. And I'm there. :flug

But no, it's not about me and I'm not pretending that it is. Y'all do what you want.

    It's all relative, I guess.

I think we could do a LOT worse than the Oregon outback. :nod

    So what do we need?
Space for 300ish campers? perhaps some cooking facilities of some rustic kind?

hmm... I might know someone with a bunch of land out near John Day...

PM me if you're really interested for my thoughts after being involved in this sort of thing three times. There are a lot of "accommodations" that need to be made well beyond what you mention to make it really memorable. But if you build it, they will come... :thumb

I am sure somebody at Sipapu could have taken care of that for you. Thursday evening would have been the best time to get it done. :lol3

This place would be pretty cool. Central to Southern Utah at the Mystic Hot Springs in Monroe... the Paiute ATV trails, Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef Parks are all near by.

Sorry... can't be in charge of such an event, student life is to hectic.

They have concerts and stationary micro buses you can rent for lodging.

I guess it's flat if you're not suffering from altitude sickness and wishing your bike wasn't down on power. You can keep your headaches, thank you.
