Spamming thread killers piss me off. :banghead:

Can we talk about cool bikes again?

I know an ADV'r that got himself an 07 Duc recently. Maybe I can get him to post a pic. :)

    Oh tall one..... :D

Sent from my fat thumbs on a small touch screen.

Well, as Fifth alluded to, I finally found a Monster that was within a reasonable enough distance that I liked. Not a low miles bike, but it appears to have been well kept, not a mark on it.

2007 S2R 1000, full Termis, new ECU and tune with the pipes.

It makes me do this: :D

Not sure why this was posted? The guy has a Kymco, how bad could life be?? :D

The more I look at Tallboy's bike, the more I like it. You gonna ride it to PIE FEST this year instead of the big yellow GS? I know it won't be as comfortable, but I can spot you a tent and sleeping bag while you are here :deal God knows I never get to use them... :cry

    I could do with a S2R, obviously!
Considering he has it, and I don't, he obviously has to suck! :deal

The S2R 1000 with termis is the #1 sound I heard from a motorcycle.
#2 was Aprilia Tuono with Akrapovic exhaust.

    There's no #3 yet.
    :evil

    MAAAAYBE a VTR1000 (Akrapovic too..)

This, IMHO, is the best of the Monster line, ever. It has all the style, and is a very balanced machine -- everything works together just right.

If you haven't figured it out yet, I don't plan very far ahead. I'll let you know about a week before if I'll be coming to PIEfest and I'll probably decide that morning what I'll ride. :lol3

You'd be surprised how good the SuperHawk sounds with good pipes.

I got zero emotions for that bike, but seriously, with Akrapovic exhaust,
    it's amazing.

    SV1000 too!

    Agreed. It's an appliance otherwise.
I was thinking TL1000 but must be about the same right?
There is nothing like a "Sporting" twin for sound.

    Yeah, that'll do.

On the other hand, on a bike like a bandit 1250.. I'd leave it stock and enjoy not
hearing anything. I just like meaty thumping on a big 1-2cyl bikes.

    Am I normal?

Big Bandit is all about smooth torque, and they are cheap. It's my ride to work so the Duck doesn't have to sit out all summer long.

Cheap is relative when you live in a 3rd world country..

I didn't think Croatia was a 3rd world country :huh

I agree on the great sounding thumpers and sporting twins! :ear:ear:ear

Quiet bikes and a few good sounding 4cyl bikes can sound good too. BUT, there is just something about every damn Ducati that I hear, that makes me stop and listen. I only wish my new monster had a dry clutch. Why? So I could piss off my brother-in-law on his HD :lol3
