I don't see any goat trails. Just dirt roads. You could ride a GoldWing down those.

I think my old 954 would do just fine, although the 990 or 1190 works much better.. you can drive nails with a level too, just not a good idea.

Beautiful country what temps are you riding in ? Also noticed the Yamaha 660 sweet. I'd love some flat dirt trails once in awhile have none here locally your either going up or down riding on rocks or powdery silt usually both. If its flat its covered in sand.

Geez I know most of you aren't, but 9x0 owners shouldn't feel compelled to post asshole comments in every 1190 thread. It comes across as snarky and self complimenting.

I mean you don't see us SE riders saying what pussy bikes 9x0 Adventures are, do you :lol3

I'm not sure to whom you are referring to , I think most of it is competitive criticism or banter to get the juicing flowing :clap Nothing personal unless of course your feeling guilty sipping starbucks while starring at your garage candy:shog While the rest of us talk smack back and forth on how knarly we think we are going through our mid life crisis on our over sized dirt bikes:gdog

Lol... Yea, I think you've got it. My new 1190 seems to be the natural progression of the990. I doubt it under performs the 990 in any aspect but out performs it in a few. Of course, just my opinion.

This is in the Kwazulu-Natal Midlands in September - our Spring (we have summer rainfall hence it being all dull and grey) - temps went up to about 30C/86F in the summer could easily exceed 35C/95F.

This area gets pretty rocky/hilly in some spots:wink:

For some reason the sound reminds me of 3 movie scenes:

    1) that part in Jurassic Park where the water ripples in the glass before the T-Rex makes its appearance
    2) that scene in Color Of Money where the pool player asks Tom Cruise what's in the carrying case and TC replies "Doom"
    3) the Jaws theme

Did a little research of the area 11,000 feet not exactly rolling hills. Looks like you have a little bit of every kind of terrain and some great wildlife too.

Marked it on my world map favorite trails from around the world.

Didn't you sell an Adventure a couple of months ago? I'm enjoying it. No goat trails yet, just logging roads.:D
