The engine is full of metal, just not in the condition BMW intended. :huh
Guess running on it's side under power for a while isn't too good for it.
Frame that supports the front fairing and headlight is also bent, though can be straightened.
Plastics are in worse shape than I originally thought.
Not sure yet if I'll get another and use this one for spares, or try to find the bits I need to rebuild it.

Was at the Unicity Canadian Tire Tuesday evening, saw a BMW Dakar there with grey sidecases and a MB plate.

Anyone from here? If so, nice bike! If not... uh, still a nice bike!

Took the Super 10 to work yesterday, and Deborah enjoyed taking her Vstrom to work as well. We met up in Miami after work for a liesurely drive home through the hills. Saw some wild Turkeys, a Skunk, and one pheasant that was deeply attracted to my Yamaha!

Did it taste good? Damn! That's weird! No shortage of wildlife vs mc encounters this year!

That's a tough one Brian. Sorry to hear that. Now I understand why my Goldwing has a tip over shutoff switch (known to fail BTW in earlier 'Wings). There's been a few good deals on Kijiji lately (check AB) on oilhead Beemers. - check out this nice old GS: http://alberta.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-motorcycles-other-1997-BMW-R1100GSA-W0QQAdIdZ490278801

Livestock trucks are bad enough, thank you! :huh

Some waldo almost forced me to the gravel shoulder last night to avoid a head on when he decided to pass the guy he was following. Fortunately a hard braking and riding the pavement edge was enough, as that shoulder looked loose enough to unhorse me, but he still passed me half in MY lane. Bad cess to them...

It's not like a GS with side cases and ME on top is a hard thing to notice.

Just a reminder to always drive defensively, no matter what mode of transportation.

I saw the Pheasant flying up out of the ditch and it looked like he was going to fly beside me, then he exited stage left and Poof! Feathers were flying everywhere around me. The leg was sticking straight up in front of my windshield, and then slowly descended downward...
