Just ordered 2 one gallon plus pack mount and used the ADVrider code and it comes out to saving shipping....cheaper to buy from their web site and ship to the US then up here in Canada....we live 30 mins from the border! Very cool item...gonna mount them on our Jesse Top box!

We just ordered some Rotopax products yesterday and there was some confusion on our part regarding the coupon usage and Jason was e mailing us back and forth for clarity on the matter at 11:30 on a Sat. night. Thumbs up for customer service on this matter.

I was just on the rotopax website and saw that they have come out with a compatible storage container. Do any of you use it? How waterproof is it?

    Thanks

I've seen these things and they look sturdy-just like the rest of Rotopax products.

A few of the Arkansas guys I rode with last year at the SLAP had these mounted to their tail racks-for tools and the like.

I'd like to see if anyone else has any first hand experience with these.

other than color what is the difference between the white and red rotopax. the white is $29.99 and the red is $49.99??? If they are the same I can write "gas" on one and get it for half price!!!

It was stated earlier in this thread that the white water tank is a different type of plastic that will leach if you put fuel in it.

Can I please get the actual ADVRider discount amounts, choices & codes. I wanted to order 2 - 1 gallon gas containers, 2 LOX Pack Mounts (I think), and one Pack Mount extension and I didn't know what the best way to do the discount was on the website. I already signed up as a member on the website so that is already taken care of. I'm looking at mounting 2 of the containers on my bike, but at this point have not quite figured out if I'm doing it double stacked on the rear rack, 2 separate ones on each pannier/luggage side rack or something else with maybe the L-Brackets. Thanks.

Has anyone mounted these to a GSA? I've been thinking about where to mount mine, and so far, assuming I mount low (i.e keep CG lower), the only option seems to be drilling into the panniers. Not sure I want to do that yet. I've also considered just putting 1 gallon in each pannier, since they're pretty thin.

    Thoughts, anyone? Thanks!

I strapped a 1 gallon on top of my BMW Adventure luggage. I used kayak straps. They hold tight.

I need to carry a couple extra gallons of fuel on an upcoming off highway trip and was thinking of trying a 2GAL rotopax on an upright L-Bracket mounted on my rear rack. That should still allow room for my sleeping bag, tent and chair on the rack. Anyone done this? 2 Gal ~14LB, is a single L-bracket strong enough?

Got my rotopax in today and that L bracket is no joke. I have not mounted it yet but its not some cheap junk, I think it will stand up to a lot.

These cans and mounts are totally bitchin' . People routinely assume it's a fancy stock setup on the Ural.

Jason - I'm taking a trip through the swell later this month, so I should have some glamour shots for you when I get back.

Has anybody mounted these to the KTM gobi boxes on the rear? Will the plastic boxes hold up to that kind of weight?
