I'm looking at new boots. My old ones are falling apart. Unfortunately it seems nobody in this area has a decent selection of boots.

Do any of you guys wear any of the following model boots? I'd like to at least have a look in person before making up my mind and ordering online.

    Sidi Canyon
    BMW Santiago
    BMW Allround
    BMW Pro Touring 2

What, no Grocery bags duct taped to old tire tread, waterproofed with Dried Bodily Fluids and tied to your feet with free Bailing twine from the Hardware store,. Where is the old Jamie-ingenuity?

Good Luck to you but just Fyi. I don't think any retailer will take payment plans and ketchup Packets as collateral for actual money. :D

If there is a Barter system out there I'm sure you will find it though!

I'm sure you could start "Budget Gear the Jamie Z way" page.

    Keep us posted.

I was hoping someone who wore riding gear would reply.

I'm as cheap as you...but without your ingenuity I just have to resort to being dumb. ;-)

I am a noob here, but I like to ride and eat. So... when is the next dinner ride?
I'd love to meet some folks who don't ride a Harley to Huey's every Wednesday night. I don't seem to fit in with that crowd when I pull up on my Triumph.

Seriously, I do love to ride and now have more time to do it. I would love to find some people with similar interests.

I've got some good ones that I got from revzilla. I think they have free return shipping if the sizing is off.

Dawn's got some BMW ones but I don't know which model. I think she's taking them with her this weekend though as she's riding her new guzzi back from STL.

You might wanna check GrassRoots BMW up in Cape, they seem to have a pretty good selection, and it's a nice ride up Hwy 51.

If you have any plans to be in east TN, definately check out Mini Mike's store in telico plains.

I have the Aerostitch Combat Touring Lites. They are made by Sidi, and are great boots. They fit well, are very heavy leather and can be resoled. I woudl buy them again in a minute. I have been very pleased with these, and I have tried several other brands that just did not hold up.

Dawn's BWM ones looked almost exactly like the pair of alpinestars I had. CycleGear used to carry a lot of alpine stars, but I haven't gone there to look for gear in awhile.

you might check with the triumph dealer out by bumpus harley, they might have some non-fringe boots.

    I live in Southaven too...

Dinner has generally been on Thursdays at 6:30pm, but the last few months have been real hit-or-miss. I'm not sure if a change of day would work or if people are just getting bored with showing up...

Quite often, we make the noob pick the place. Let us know your favorite place to eat in town and give us a date.

On that note, I won't be free this Thursday due to work.
