Six weeks ago, something happened. I was at work and at lunch, I decided to take a little tour on my bike. Everything went smooth, the corners where fast and smooth. Drove back to work, and then as I was coming on to the parkinglot road (90 degree turn) disaster struck! 10 km/h, and the bike went down and me with it!

The bike, broke a turn signal and damaged the engine cover bar thingie, main fairing, and the right muffler. But worst still, my thumb broke! Even though, I completed my day at work, and drove the bike home! :clap When I got home, I went to the Doc, and he said: "Yeah it's broken, it'll be a cast for you! For six week"

Then I died a bit inside: No riding for six weeks!!! I missed the best part of the season here in Sweden, and the biggest motorbike gathering in Northern Europe.

But now the bike is repaired with new LED signals, the paint and scratches is winter-work up here :p

So this brings me to Tuesday! This Tuesday the cast is going bye-bye. So as soon as I get home, I'm gonna head out for the day! Gonna be posting pics so you can see how it goes!

    My poor thumb!

Bad thing to hear, hope you recovered well and the thumb is moving again. I can feel with you because also 6 weeks ago I went for a ride on Monday, and both tires lost traction on loose chippings in a curve, the bike and myself went down hit the asphalt and two muscles were torn from my left shoulder. I got surgery on Tuesday. Next week the dressing which holds the shoulder will be removed, then I will also ride again as soon as possible.

    Wish you good recovering

News update!! Me and my dad, were fixing the bike this evening, trying to hook up my new turn-signals with a new relay. Said and done, we began to figure it out when....disaster struck again!!! My signal switch burnt up!! :eek1

So tomorrow we're gonna try to fix it, if not buy a new one...

Just hope everything is ready for this Tuesday, or else...I'll take my dad's bike! :rofl

Then we ran into trouble, with the resistance in the signal system, but we McGuyver'ed it (original light bulbs under the seat) for now! :D

Where are you in Sweden? My wife was born in Stockholm but her entire family still lives in Alvsbyn.

We're planning a trip over there this time next year. I can't wait!

So it's Tuesday today, but I got slapped in the face twice!!

Woke up, got outta bed and looked out the window, and guess what, it's raining totally gushing out of the clouds! Slap #1

Slap #2. I gotta have a cast for like 2-3 weeks! 'Cause "it's gotta heal right".

But I'm gonna head out after dinner for a 5 minute ride. And maybe tomorrow for a longer ride! Sorry to keep you waiting!
