This may seem like a newbish question but I have seen reports and specs listed all over the internet ranging from 436 lbs all the way to 500+ lbs. I realize I have to account for my rack and crash bars, but throwing that aside, what is the ACTUAL weight of the ktm adventure? Wet/dry?

Crash bars, luggage rack, gas , oil, tool kit etc. Don't plan on riding her under 500 lbs.

Most truck scales are on even when closed. Take a run to your local weigh station.

Take your worst estimate and add 50 lbs. Seriously. I had my bike trimmed of all excess weight (single exhaust, single front brake rotor, Talon hub, no crash bars, no rear racks, no luggage rack, etc.) for a big rally and it still weighed in at over 450lbs with only 2 gallons of fuel. They are big bastards.

2008 Adventure, fuel topped, with KTM crashbars, Gobi side & topcase brackets, few tools and double tire irons under the seat.

Read 254,5 kg (561lbs) and without 9,5 kg (21 lbs) plank, beast is 245 kg (540 lbs).

jesus christ. I thought I at least was under 500lbs with the thing

Someday I might see how much of the bike I can replace with carbon fiber. Maybe I will ditch my pannier mounts for a giant loop. Though I feel like those things add some protection to my exhaust.

Here is what I've noticed about these bikes. They have a way of making one think that scales lie. Drop her into gear, let out the clutch and a 150lbs disappear.
