It's off of a 04-05 ZX10. And this one can be taken apart.....hmm. I guess I need to find me a 04-05 ninja to look at. I like the note, I'm just concerned as you can see very far into the pipe, which makes me think something has been removed.

Hi Jenna. And yes that's a cool senior pic. Back to the pipe, have you felt any decrease in low or midrange torque/horsepower? When I put the Staintune muffler on my ST without the optional baffle it was a very open pipe. BIG losses in low and midrange and an awful sound above 4K rpm like a HD with hacksawed pipes.

I called CB&T whom I bought the pipe from and the woman that handled their Ebay marketing was already expecting my call and had a baffle ready to ship. :D Instant return of low end power and good sound and pipe doesn't look so open even though the baffle only extends about three inches into the stinger.

I'm guessing that if power remained good throughout the rpm range that the pipe hasn't been altered, but you never know.

Nice :D, Jenna - now and then. :deal

Must maintain back pressure for low end grunt.

When we get to see some vids of SB warm ups? :freaky

I haven't even ridden off road in months. Just haven't had time. I'll be taking a test ride tomorrow and running it through the paces. Best thing is I can now resupport this side of the subframe.

I like it but then I'm anti-stock so almost anything different is an improvement in my book. Just looked into the pipe on the GSXR. It goes straight through also.

I was surprised it was that light too. I was weighing the all-stainless stock r100gs muffler I've got on my G/S. I've tested the scale with many different weight-lifting weights and it's been spot on every time.

Believe me, I was hoping to find out it weighed 15 pounds too :D The Supertrapp weighed 2.5. but it'd need mid-pipe and it doesn't shoot exhaust out the back--it shoots it out the sides.

I'm looking at something like this:

Jenna's got a ZX-10 pipe. I might need to get a Hyabusa muffler so I can keep up :D

You know you could do a poor man's intake mod and just pull the horns off to the top of your air filter. Run some mini-bungees across the filter to keep it on tight. With an open intake and that exhaust you might be able to rejet-richer and get some more juice.

Of course, you might not want to race in a dusty/sandy environment without those horns and it lowers your water level an inch or two. I've seen pics of people strapping an oil-soaked green pad on top of the filter to improve the filtration. You might be able to safely ditch the horns if you do that. I'll try it when I put mine back together.

I wish I didn't spend every waking hour doing homework so I could play with my bike :cry

You mean they give you a retainer to prevent you from being gay? Does Tim Tebow know?

Is this retainer somehow related to a lightweight muffler?

I, for one, am glad you lost that particular device.

Dammit, I had a hell of a day. Well, not really. Was planning on stopping by, but the water pump in my car went on strike. Supposed to head to NGA tomorrow for a vaca in a cabin, and I'm driving. So had to deal with that...but one thing about having the weird ass GM motor in there sideways......

Water pump was very easy to get to. Maybe next weekend when I'm back.

    Finished my new mount point.

yep, easier on the frame and potentially the legs too.

Do you think the muffler needs a brace at the rear?
