Cold, wet and tired was a combo I hated to deal with in the Army. Two of the three was OK, but all three at once and I was miserable.

Cold and rainy on the bike is just no fun if you don't have the proper gear.

Had to get out of the house today so I drove (I know I know) to Motorcycle Factory Inc in Woodbridge VA. They may be a small shop size wise, but they have a shop full of bikes and some gear too. The most KTMs I have seen under one roof to boot. I also saw a possible fellow inmate in the area. He was on a yellow V-Stom with big metal panniers and a Givi top box. Looked like his brake lights and headlamps were hooked up to his brakes because the flashed when he used them.

Decided to try my luck and headed to Front Royal today and sure enough, Skyline was closed. I had heard it was open by others, but not true today!!! :deal

Still learning my way around. I rode around the area for a bit and than took 66 home. Next weekend is supposed to be nice. Maybe a few on here would like to get together and head out somewhere?

I know there is another thread on here for NOVA weekend rides, but they seem to like dirt roads more. I'm looking for something a little firmer.

I wont give away the plot but I'll let you connect the dots...:D

    Haymarket Va.
Tip: From here stay off the interstate. Them things are dangerous!

    John Marshall Hwy.

    Crest Hill Rd.

    Fodderstack Rd.

    Sperryville Va.

    Bixlers Ferry Rd.

Fort Valley Rd...either to Strasburg Rd.(short trip) or to Edinburg Gap Rd.(long trip)

Form Strasburg Rd. head back on Route 55

From Edinburg take Stoney Creek Rd to Wolf Gap Rd. and head into WV to Wardensville. Don't speed thru Wardensville! There are a couple places to have lunch in Wardensville. Come back Route 55.

There's an easy route. There are many options off this route too!

Hi guys - I know I'm breaking all sorts of rules by cross-posting this, but I figured it's worth it. My bf's 2010 white F800GS was stolen in Alexandria this weekend. I posted the details here: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=927260.
If you guys see anything, or don't mind spreading the word, I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you.

Best of luck recovering the bike in satisfactory condition. Unfortunately, I don't really have any helpful advice.

I saw a bike just like that parked Sunday am, around 8:30, in the 1600 block (or so) on King Street. Parked facing east on the westbound side of the street. Stood out because it just didn't belong. . .. :ear
