    Felt so different after the GSA, but not in the negative direction; I like it so far.

    Congratulations!! is it the one with manual suspensions? is why you got the WP sicker on the forks?

    HA HA HA my first bike was a seca turbo. We use to bomb them down fire roads at 80+ sliding with the turbo on back in the day. My neighbor still has the one I use to have. God the brakes were bad on those things.

    Thanks, WP sticker is extra. :-)) found a pair in the shop, didn't want to leave the shock blank.
    This is one of the full specs. including Tpms, electronic shocks etc.

    I own two bikes, one of them an 800R; I used to ride it in the city, where I find the GSA wide and heavy or a few weekend trips, when I am alone and missing a more active riding. Now after selling GSA away, my short today 1190 ride made me think, that this can be a one bike for all.

    I didn't like the OE sound, definitely needs to spend. So far it really looked like consuming less than the 990. I am 180 cm tall and use a Shoei Hornet helmet, OE shield worked better for me than the 990 tall shield, but worse than the GSA OE shield; yes you get wind on your arms and shoulder. It was a windy day, but I got sort of needing a rest.

    The heat problem is my main, due to a severe problem on my legs' deep veins; sold 990 for this. Today felt a little bit heat at left, but it wasn't at a disturbing level; the temperature bars never moved up or down, but didn't have much traffic at all.

    Seat is not very bad, I can live with it.

    150 ps power you don't necessarily feel at the street mode (haven't tried the sport mode), but it can easily accelerate fast and sometimes you don't notice. I think I have missed accelerating without shifting down and feel the acceleration. :-)))

    The left computer screen is full of information, but try not to seek what you are looking for while riding, until you get used to the bike, I have almost hit the side of the road once.

    While braking the front dives like a 990; maybe after GSA I found it too much, but I remember while testing the S10, the front shocks were very stiff and diving was at minimum.

    One thing for sure, it's a fast bike and it's a nice bike; I don't regret my choice, because I like orange brand.

    Can you adjust the electronic suspension while moving the bike or, for safety reasons, only at standing position?

    I wonder what would be more important. The ability to adjust by a push of the thumb or the fully adjustable manual adjustment?

    Acc to various reports, the adjustability is half and half. That is: spring preload can be adjusted only with the bike moving at less than walking pace or at a standstill, but damping can be adjusted on the move.

    The EDS offers only three damping settings: Comfort, Street and Sport. However, it appears from some reports that these have been tweaked by the factory for the different load settings. That is, "Comfort" damping in the "Passenger plus Luggage" spring setting might run a click or two more compression damping than "Comfort" in the "Rider only" spring setting, for example.

    Depends how much you trust the factory to get the settings right for your loads and preferences.

    For me, it will be the manual adjustment because I don't trust the factory and because on this sort of shock, the sweet spot for adjustment will be fairly narrow and so a good compromise set-up should work nearly as well in most conditions as the specialist settings.

    YMMV. I'll admit the ability to switch in a firmer setting when you hit smooth, twisty roads would be nice. But in that case I would also want to add a bit of rear preload to sharpen the steering. Which can't be done at speed on this EDS version.

    It helps that the manual adjusters on the shock appear easy to get to - well, preload and compression anyway.

    Shame the compression adjustment appears to require a screwdriver; otherwise you could tweak it manually on the move.

    I will concentrate only in riding for a certain time. :-))))).

    Yesterday, the first tank, mixed ~150 km/h highway ride, slower curves and city traffic in total 260 km distance, 6.8 lt/100 km consumption.

    At this distance, I had only the bottom bar left, but no fuel warning light came out; filled ~18 liters to full at sidestand. Fuel bars show stable and correct; why I have noticed that, is I used to have a petrol indicator bars, changing like a belly dancer on my GS A. :-))))

    Does any of the new 1190 owners know if pannier systems from the 990 will fit? I am looking to buy some panniers, or a soft luggage system for the 990, but I will probably buy a 1190 next year. So it would be handy if they are interchangable.
    The zega pro's probably are, eventhough I wonder if they would not stick out too much on the right with that exhaust...
    Plus they are expensive off course...

    They wouldn't; otherwise those companies would list straightaway those items which are suitable for 990, in their sites as they are compatible with 1190. First of all 990 has two exhausts, the other one; should be totally different

    The horn sounds very bad, or mine is a defective unit. It sounds very bad and really funny, like a duck. I can hardly hear it myself.

    Thank you for you evaluation and the pictures, Moronic. I guess, I would also go with the manual version, for the same reasons. At least, as long it isnĀ“t possible to adjust all parameters on the move and with the same quality the manual has.

    Yes, would be great. I am thinking over a way to adjust by using a flexible shaft. But for this, some handycrafts has to be done.

    I thought/hoped it would be less than that. KTM spoke of a 20% reduction compared to its predecessor.

    The bike is fast but not for free....
    16 km x lt normal riding (above legal speed), 14km x lt fast driving.

    17 km x lt on a highway at 130 km/h

    So that works out to just about 35 mpg. Guess that's not bad for a brand new motor. Hopefully it'll improve with more miles.
