Gary is ok, it's the most important!!!

Why he crashed? cold tire, gas oil, or to more aggressive?

If he need some parts for the R1, you can ask me!

At the risk of sounding mollycoddled - I do not agree.

I know that crashes are often not to be prevented and that many bikers do actually crash in their "career", especially if they're, let's say, thrilled by speed.
But still, I do not agree that crashing is the price you have to pay for the pleasure of riding. If you think so and live by that you should at least only ride on a race track.
Because with this attitude you will not only constantly risk your own life but also the lives of others on the roads out there.
    My 2 cents.

Mind you, I realise that you (bubu) didn't mean to encourage anyone to take risks and ride to the limit on public roads.
Still, the statement in this context leaves a sour taste in my mouth somehow.
I might be overreacting a bit, but I just can't take accidents like this so lightly.
Hope you guys understand what I'm trying to say.
    :norton

Kam - say my best wishes to Gary, hope he's gonna be alright. And R.I.P. R1.
I bet he won't have my problems getting a new bike soon, though.
    But what's it gonna be?

    Anyway.
You guys are really producing quite a number of serious offs lately...
Maybe you have to relax a bit?
    You take care!

Thanks; yea, it was fun filled 3 days of 1680 Km :clap

    +1; me too

    +Million

With every accident, there's a lesson to be learnt & remembered for lifetime, so that, we don't have to commit the same & costly mistake to learn

Kamchat - Hope Gary recovers soon & be back on two-wheels for Sunday rides once again

He thinks the rear tyre gave up and came round on him ...... knowing Gary he was probably wasn't exactly 'hanging about' and would have been fair cranking the bike over into the bend ...
..... but, after all, that's what sportsbikes are for .
When he checked the rear he found there was only 15 psi in it ..so that probably wouldn't help ..although those racetech tyres are supposed to be ok down to 17 psi.

Anyway .... he picked a very pleasant location to be stuck in for a while ... you can see how bendy the road is here...

    Thanks mate .:thumb...

We try hard not to crash..... but most fun things in life come with risks .... and riding sportsbikes (or any motorbike for that matter) is probably one of the 'higher risk' activities.

You can spend your wole life being careful ..and still end up dying a pretty unpleasant death with cancer! When your times up ... it's up !.... Just make the most of what time is left - it might be later than you think.

Thanks Aargee .... Gary will be back in the saddle soon ... he's a pretty positive guy ... and on Sunday he was already planning on getting his next bike - a BMW S1000RR ..... so 'every cloud has a silver lining'......

If I didn't see the photo and you typed this I would say you had been in the pub too long.

I still don't see why we should have to pay the price of crashing our vehicles and injuring ourselves for riding a bike, but oh well.
    Each for his own. :freaky

    Hells yeah!! :clap
Now that's what I call proper motorcycle riding! :lol3
Hats off to those guys - that's the spirit.
Where did they come from anyway? You can't really see the plates in the photos.

Glad you're finally having some good weather over there.
Here it's more like what bubu describes - cold, rainy, gray, depressing. This spring really sucks.

And Gary - what the hell is he doing?? How can someone crash a bike like that and then even THINK about getting a S1000RR right away? Is he in the money printing business? :lol3:lol3
No seriously - all the best for him and I'd love to see the S, too.

    Cheers!

bike, rollers, skiing, and all those type of activities can give you some bad injuries. Do you never crash in bike? if not you are so lucky...
