I think we have a mild consensus. Twain's Nov. 1st. Get your game on ... 7pm till whenever. Bring your BMW, GS, G/S, or BMW Monstrosity (This allows The Dobber to participate )
...can I bring my new husky to show off!?!? (If it arrives in time.) We all know I have plenty of BMWs at heart and in my basement :)
Air it out? Anyone going north in the am. I was up awful early today, maybe not so much tomorrow but going to see what's left of Fall. Post or pm if you want company. Plus 2 on Cheetah
I used to be friendly with the manager of the cheetah. She was a bad asmatic, I rented a whole house vacuum system to sand her floors. She was really sweet about it. Wonder if she's still there.... You coming Thursday??
I'm likely a no go for Thursday's beer. I've got a 3 day weekend coming up and am looking at a couple of options - high on the list is a trail ride on r80. Thinking about norther sections of tetS or Tellico way or just pitch a tent in Nga and ride in circles.
I'm going to try to make it. Right now I have a house full of sick women. If I survive that and people are feeling better, I'll be there!!!
Not yet. That's going to be my next bisecting of the issue, though. When you crossed the plug wires...was it the right cylinder that was still dropping? If so, that rules out electrical? Eh, I'm sure we could talk about this all day...best save it for the r90 thread or a couple of beers at Twains :)
I'm not sure I was able to be absolutely sure which cylinder is dropping. I woke at 3am last night ... and I started thinking we need to look at how the points plate is functioning ... If it's mounted off center, then there is a chance that you are getting 'double sparking' ... The 'thump' you hear could be ignition at an 'off time'.
Hmm, that is curious. I'll give her a crank or two when I get home and verify the cylinder for sure but it's always been the right side, that I know, whenever the issue crops up (it did it with electronic ignition as well.) Also, glad that I'm the thing that wakes you up at 3am in a cold sweat.
heh. If it did it with an electronic ignition ... I would start looking at the play in the rod bearings and the mains. Have you looked in the oil pan recently?
I've drained it several times and have always had zero sparkles. I super suspecting the cam Only one way to check that, like you were saying. Come on husky...get the hell in my basement so I can ride!
