Shayna Texter took the win last night in the singles class at the all star race in savannah .... Of to Daytona next.. Hopefully more wins for her this season
She needs to run a kawi with the big boys on a mile! please please please put her on a kawi on a mile!!!!
Brandon Robinson on a Kawasaki ran away from Coolbeth, Johnson and Mees' Harleys to win Oglethorpe 1/2 mile in Savannah friday night.
lord I hope not, but the Kawi's are only going to get faster with further development, and you just know that harley is gonna whine and complain instead of offering something competitive. People will bitch and moan, saying how harley dealers have supported riders through the years, blah blah blah. BUT, guess what? we now have Kawi dealers starting to get involved, helping riders and spending money. The ama needs to grow a set and tell harley to worry about building something modern instead of holding the sport hostage with 70's technology. I'd like to see the triumph up there more also, those things sound glorious!
It's great to see Johnny Lewis is back. After winning one of the Daytona races it seemed as if he was just running selected races.
Anybody think shayna has a chance to win Daytona ? She has been on a roll this last week. I hope zakk Palmer can make some more nationals that kid is pretty good on the 450's For some reason I really dig the pro singles class... Seems like just about everybody has a shot to win those races.

DAYTONA Flat Track I Track Length 0.25 Course Type Short Track No. of turns 4 ..and the good news for all us phucks that aint soakin' up that sweet sunshine down south is~ Broadcast - DAYTONA Flat Track Mar 17, 2013 6:00 PM EST
Texter is great on more of the wider/multiple grove kind of tracks. Not sure she is winning material on the super-short tracks yet, but she is impressive, nonetheless. No Sammy Halbert certainly may level the field a bit as he owned that place 2 years ago. Think Lewis and Mees might be the guys to beat. But, never know with that track. Usually gets REAL bumpy after practice. Still say they should take off the brakes and let em have at it.
prediction #2 Brad Baker for a Daytona win. and maybe Kolkman and Cose putting on a good performance .. hmm I think I sound a little west coast bias
I'd like to see Brad do it, he's a super nice guy, hung out with him and Kevin Atherton a couple years ago at a ahrma event in ohio. Always has time to say hi and chat a bit when I see him in the pits, he seems very thankful for the chance to race motorcycles professionally. I think he needs to be more aggressive racing though, he's TOO nice!
Top 5 qualifying times: Carver Pearson Johnson Robinson Mees Wiles 10th fastest; Baker 15th fastest; winner Matt Weidman 20th fastest. Heat races will tell the true tale. Heard the track was super smooth, but slick as hell. Hopefully they push that grove up through the night
