I haven't been able to check on updates as I've been in Kansas for the holidays. I'll be back at my office Tuesday morning and reach out to the pattern shop. Trust me when I tell you that I'm even more anxious than each of you about getting my tank in hand. But at the same time I need to let the pattern experts do their job without me driving them nuts. I've been reaching out to them every Friday to see how things are coming along, but obviously missed this Friday for being out of town.

Naturally, if anyone feels uncomfortable with the wait, simple send me a PM and you'll have a 100% refund in 24 hours. I want everyone to feel comfortable with their per-purchase and know that their money is safe.

I think my anxious level might be close to yours and I feel completely comfortable with my purchase. My bike is in the shop for a week anyways. Hope the holidays went well for everyone. Can't wait to hear more news.

Hey guys... I drove out to the pattern shop yesterday to see how things are progressing. Mold castings have returned from the foundry... now they get polished, alignment pins get installed, and the whole thing will be fastened to a steel framework so it can be mounted to the carousel of the roto-molding machine. Here's some pix. By next Friday the molds should be ready for assembly and we can start testing plastic. Getting very close now and I want to thank you guys for your patience... :thumb

This is a very limited production product and we'll only be building to order.

Great to see things progressing! So...is it safe to say that production run #1 goes onto your bike Ken? What color have you chosen? I'm stuck between the black and the natural now. Natural for practical reasons is probably going to be the choice I make. Can't wait...I have put off final assembly of my SE pending the new fuel tank and am missing out on some great weather here in CO for riding. Well...not missing out, I still ride my EXC but it isn't the SE! :evil

I'm choosing natural myself. Aesthetics aside, there's no replacement for being able to see just how much fuel you've got left...

The 950 SM is off the road Jan. 1st . The 93 Duke 2 with Avon Distanzia tires is the winter bike . Is it tank time yet ?

    Merry Xmas Paul

Getting close! All pinned-up and getting a good polish. Just needs a little machining and a frame added, then it's plastic time!

Pinned, polished and lookin' good... tomorrow we add the tooling to hold the fuel filler and all the threaded inserts. A total of 18 brass inserts are needed... then its time to make the first article for fitting!

On a three sided carousel I believe we're looking at approx 1 an hour...
