More rainy days now so starting again. made a stand to get it up to a decent height, ordered some parts from Germany and done way too much internetting to get ideas.

How do you cure scope creep?

Cool pic of a benelli granp prix 250cc singles timing gears. Did they not have chains back then? Upside down for some reason.

    Yup,

Made up some new seat mounts for the café seat, and am attempting to recover the seat, maybe. Got some new s/hand headlight mounts from Germany and will start polishing them up soon. Trying to figure out how and where to mount battery and taillight assembly. basically just mocking things up at the moment before pulling apart and repainting the frame as I am over the red frame at this time. Might fire it up this weekend to see if it still runs.

Will do it soon enough, but its all the little shit that is getting my attention at the moment. Just enjoying pottering around in the shed now its organised and tidy.

The bike has become more of a restoration than a café build now. Still won't be standard, but not far off it.

Finally made my rear set mounts and a gear lever this arvo. Some finishing to do with a buffer, but I haven't got one and tool budget has taken a hit with a new washing machine, house insurance and other shite like that.:puke1

Decided on right foot gear change 1 down/4 up. Wanted 1 up/4 down but their is too much shit in the way for the linkages to work properly.
Will try to take pics with my phone later as cameras succumbed to water and dust.

Got some new flanged alloy rims from the States cheap the other week and after getting them back from the wheel guy, fitted new tyres and put the wheels on the bike. Looked good, then I took it off the work bench, stood back and couldn't stop grinning like a fool and laughing at the wee thing. Is that normal ? who cares, I am happy:clap

The usual crappy cell phone pics.
