Leave it to some smelly European to assume this American has an elitist mentality...:rolleyes

I was just making an observation, not implying the American "way" to propose is better than anyone else's.

    Regarding the ring...

This is what's great about ADV. With people from all over the world I get to learn new things about other cultures and see places that I never would have if not for this site.

I didn't learn anything. I read the question and wondered the same thing. The responses haven't answered the question, they have assumed readers that don't know the answer haven't traveled. I've been out of my backyard and don't know the answer to the question. Is it as simple as engagement rings go on the right hand in specific countries, or cultures within a specific country? If so it would be nice to get that as an answer instead of a condescending elitist non-answer.

I hope you're not representative of the type of people I might find in Greece. Very unhelpful response.

I looked at the pic and thought "nice ring". I didn't think about what hand it was on or anything but you did. You assumed it was on the wrong hand.... :evil

I don't see anything wrong with quicktoys2 response. :clap

Well I assumed the answer was rings are worn differently in other countries. Which is something I never thought about until it was brought up.

    So now I'm curious.

Either way, it's a really nice looking ring and was a great way to propose.

Oh, I showed the pictures to my wife.....She really like the pictures and wanted to know how come I didn't think of something like that....Oops.:eek1

Thankfully she laughed after making me sweat for a few min's :D

Congrats! As someone who also married a redhead, did anyone ever tell you that women are color-coded? Red means dangerous. :evil

We've been married for 22 years.....In that time I have learned that if she's cold, I give her my hoodie to wear over hers.....it's safer that way! (notice the hair color)

    Great pic!
Are the guys in the background photo-bombing? Or is there another photographer hidden behind the bike?
