    I will give this a try when I get back from my week on the bike.

    My switch is on/off . Should it work ok or do I need to change to momentary ?

    After putting some miles on mine. Momentary would work too. All Personal preference. With on off you can just leave it off all day. Momentary it resets when you turn your ignition back on. all in all a great product though.

    You don't need to wire it direct to anything.
    A lighted switch would be overkill.
    Hell, no switch needed if you don't mind taking your seat off to plug and unplug it.
    Just a regular switch will do.
