Greece, and although his driving was illegal in this case (as it is in most of the countries), it was also way bellow his personal limits (to answer KMC1's misguided comment)

Oh, now i see, he's from Greece, trying to run away from paying taxes :D
Don't get me wrong, I like stuff like that just not on public roads, don't want my kids to be run over by such an idiot, had to be said.
Maybe it looks more dramatic than it is?

Misguided? I hardly think so. I only watched a couple minutes of the stupidity and there was a couple places he passed cars going into blind corners, and one corner in particular where he was on the opposite side of the road going into a blind corner because he blew the corner leading into it. He is just shit lucky the lane was empty at the time he went through because there was no recovery and a very good chance of going over the car and into the woods - aka the "cheese grater". :puke1

Just because he was going fast, doesn't mean he's a good rider. Truthfully I think he is pretty much an amateur rider with way more bike than he should be riding.

Awesome bike though! I'm really looking forward to it getting to our market and soon! :freaky

Lol....yeah, or u can die with your brains splattered inside your helmet and your guts caught in the air intake of an oncoming car too :1drink I don't really see riding within both your limits and the limits of the road you're on as being one of those "are you living or are you surviving" things.

Well well, here he is a well known racer this guy, who has also been involved in the development of the upcoming 800 V2.

What is this 800V2 you speak of? (And yeah. It was evident to me he was very skilled and not over-matched by the bike. Still. His lane discipline was sloppy and he made some hairball passes. Just sayin'. And hey. I know hairball passes. :))

As if none of us have ever ridden like an asshole....

Riding like a dick? Sure. Over his skill level? I think he was owning that bike and road.

    :hide

Swung by my local KTM dealer - Santa Monica CA (whom I've never like from my prior 950 SM experiences) they said they aren't ordering any. They had a leftover RC1 and 4 or 5 dirtbikes on the floor.

Ktm can make as many super cool bikes as they want, they need to work on their dealer network in the states BIG TIME.

Seems to me I was the only one that enjoyed the video ...

I enjoyed it too. Jealous we can't ride like that around here. Remember most of the whiners are from North America and don't understand how the rest of the world is accustomed to the spirited riding/driving of bikes and cars.

Can't wait to try one out. Not available here until late summer/fall this year. Gives me more time to save for a down payment. :1drink

About a year ago he went to austria to test ride the 800 while in the development stage. That's all he said. No pics taken no other info revealed apart from that it will be light and about 100hp.

Says they canned the 800 here fwiw, how light could they really make a v2 800 and still keep offroad strength, long term durability and fuel capacity anyway? and it would just take sales from the 1190R...
