Close - it's actually Wunderlich bash plate. :deal :D Well spotted on the wheels (Behr saxess 18/21 combo with oversized spokes) and the carbon covers (paid for by the previous owner  )

Other mods include - rebuilt forks to put rebound and compression cartridges in both legs (Legs have been chrome coated); odyssey battery; holan racks (for GSA panniers) and screen; woody's stand mount; snorkel; heated grips for those winter rides...

I think that about covers it... I really gotta stop buying stuff! :lol3

Takes the air intake across the bike, up and over the oil cooler facing backwards. Runs fine with it fitted all the time. The only way water is getting in is if I go deeper than the tank or drop it in deep water (which has happened!)

Mav, tell me about the cartridges in the forks. Did you get the cartridges from Marzocchi and install yourself? Or was it done behind the Wizard's curtain at the suspension shop? I've been doing my own suspension work here in Korea - always looking for new info.

    Thanks! :jose

    * Also... there was a blurb in the July or August '09 issue of Motorcyclist magazine ...Ohlins is supposedly creating cartridge inserts for the F800GS...which I'm pretty sure uses the same fork legs as the HP2...

Suspension is one area I've not played with yet - the wizard took care of it. First time around - they lasted 19,000 miles of commuting, two up touring and plenty of abuse off-road. The original coating finally gave way which lead to the seal going on one of the legs. For 400 pounds - a local suspension specialist rebuilt them including stripping and recoating the legs, this time chrome rather than the original fancy coating. It doesn't look as cool and, for the experts, it will have a little more 'stiction' but I'm no expert and it will last a hell of a lot longer :deal

Certainly seemed to do the trick at the MX track:

My next bit of bling is a second set of tank panels - I'd like to get a custom paint job. Any suggestions? I'm liking this:

    Dude,
    Like your sig line.
Be original with your custom paint. YOU have no need to copy the factory scheme. You're out there doing it!

The Bokkura enduro club has 3 HP2 riders. Each guy has applied a different version of the factory race colors. You can dig around in their site and look through quite a few trip postings and other stuff.

Here you can see 3 different versions of the factory race color on the front 3 HP2 bikes. (last 2 bikes are G650X Challenge bikes, I think)
